I'm surprised nobody else discussed the interview with the gal in charge of Koei in last month's OPM. The one where they mentioned they (Koei) were interested in doing a Lord of the Rings game, but those incompetent boobs at EA got it instead - and hoodwinked the gaming media and masses but good with a big fat license on a heaping pile of not fun game play.
That burned me but good, as when I saw the first LotR movie when Sauron starts cleaving suckers in half and mowing down armies singlehanded, Dynasty Warriors 2 was the first thing that came to mind.
Well there's still hope as they mentioned Koei was interested in making a DW style game based off of The Ring of Nibelung (Sorry, quick Google turned up that as the first non music translation text), or other European lore. I know Drinky Crow was clamoring for an Arthurian beat'em up.
I hope this happens, and I hope it's not as poorly executed as Samurai Warriors. Say no to level capping!
