This came out today to cash-in on the Spidey hype, and it's a very different movie than the theatrical cut. Roughly 30 minutes have been edited back into the movie, and something like five minutes of the theatrical cut were removed.
Gone are the confessionals and the love scene.
Without the love scene the scene on the rooftop in the rain is different as is the scene at the party (which originally took place before and after the love scene).
The Coolio subplot is really good and is the classic Matt Murdock blind lawyer story where he helps Coolio's character (who no one else will help) and in the process his case leads everyone to the Kingpin. It adds a lot of depth that the original cut lacked.
There's also a lot more in the origin scenes between Matt and his father.
There's more fleshing out of Matt and Foggy's relationship.
Foggy points out the scar on Matt's cheek in the diner and how every time he vanishes he comes back beat up:
Matt: I'm in the fight club. You're not in the fight club. First rule of the fight club is you don't talk about the fight club.
Foggy: I never saw that movie, but I'm sure that joke is funny.
Later:
Foggy: I spent $3,000 on that seeing eye dog for you.
Matt: I didn't want a dog.
Foggy: Those dogs bond for life. Yours ran away.
There's also more with Ben Urich including a scene at the end where he confronts Matt and tells him that he knows that he is Daredevil. Urich also plays a big part in the whole Coolio subplot and connecting the dots to the Kingpin.
Fight scenes are also a little different. Now when Bullseye stabs Elektra he kisses her (that apparently would've got the theatrical an R from the MPAA), and their fight is a few seconds longer and bit more brutal. Kingpin also brains one bodyguard and snaps another's neck the first time we see him. And when Daredevil destroys the bar in the beginning it's a much bigger fight.
