Recently got all 3 of these cheap and going to play them until the 360 launch in Nov.

What's the best order to play them in do you think?

Play BoF V last, because it's so much better than any other JRPG you wouldn't want to play the other two afterwards

1. BoFV really short and fun.
2. SH2 next because it's really awesome
3. DC2 last because although it's a great game. It's really really slowly paced and takes a good 5-10 hours until it opens up and gets really fun (for me it was when I could start golfing which I became addicted to and loved the game).

Depends on if you even count it as an rpg. I don't. I love BoFV but it's more like an traditional dungeon crawler meets SRPG battles. Fantastic game but it doesn't give me my epic story, awesome characters, tons of exploration rpg fix that I look for in traditional rpgs.

SHC, BOF:V, DC2.

Play them in that order, and make sure to get 100%. If you can't finish anything past SHC before November, then you won't have missed much.

SHC is GREAT. Really, really fun.

And DC2 STINKS ON ICE! Stay away!

Dark Cloud 2 is one of the very best PlayStation 2 games, but it's also for the dungeon whores. Are you a dungeon whore?

But it's sooooo long and involved you probably wanna save that for last.

I say: Shadow Hearts Convenant, BoF:V, DC2.

Also only play BoF V if you're a masochist.

It's 100% for dungeon whores. Did you even play DC2? 90% of the game is dungeons, and they are often sooooooooooooo long that they can take up more than a day or so if you're even half the completist I am.

But that's part of why I love it.

SHC definitely. BoFV and DC2 are passable. DC2 especially.

BoFV is AWESOME. Tight, emotional story with no filler, great tactical battle system, nice level of challenge that imparts real tension, wonderful dark oppressive atmosphere. One of the all-time great RPGs IMO.

I couldn't get in to SH:C. I think I'm the only JRPG fan here that doesn't adore it, but I just kinda got bored with it about 8 hours in. I thought the first Shadow Hearts was a lot better.

Haven't played DC2.

Yeah DC is crappy but DC2 is greatness.

As someone who has barely played any JRPG's, I think DC2 is very accessible and has plenty of gameplay (I beat it in 70 hours, not including the extra quest after the credits).

I'm also enjoying SH2, because it doesn't try to be "cute", the story is good, the music is awesome, and the combat is very dynamic.
