Dunno if I'd agree with that as I think Uncharted and Tomb Raider are both great games however I definitely appreciate the game play in Tomb Raider feeling more arcadey/gamey. Their respective gameplay provide a nice contrast to one another.

This game any good? Might give it a try.

I played through it when it first released and it's a lot of fun, personally enjoyed it more than Uncharted. The Bow is super satisfying to use which was great after how much I hated it in Assassins Creed 3

It's a newer game, and one influenced by the 2006-7 era third person gameplay that Uncharted utilized.

TR is more streamlined in its gameplay, but to say it shits on UC1 is just silly. There are other areas that make up a video game, and all those other areas are vastly superior in UC1. Music, set pieces, characters, story, art direction etc.

Let's not forget what the game lead to a couple of years later. UC2. The third person action blockbuster that to-this-day still shits on every single game in the genre that has released since.
