Double check it's still on low.
WHAT THE FUCK. WHY WOULD THE GAME CHANGE IT.
Thanks

GTX970, the game's lighting or shadow or some unholy combination of both are making it almost impossible to play the game. There are parts where parts of the screen turn completely black, which is fun in a game where if you get ambushed you die.
Fought the first "boss" I think out of the tutorial area, and literally the entire intro cutscene was blacked out, until the fight started. Even at the bottom of the stairs in that big room though, like a quarter of it has a solid line through it(you can go in it, but then you only get that small portion of the room).
Want to play the game, can't play the game, this sucks.
I prefer the DS3 aesthetic so far. I think the muted color palette is beautiful.
That said, 10 hours in I thin, I have to admit that Bloodborne looks better.
Did you try to validate the game files? It seems either the game files are corrupted or there is something wrong with the GPU drivers.
GTX 960 2g, I5 4590, 16 gigs ram and game running off a SSD.
I've got everything on high and getting between 50-60 FPS 95% of the time. Every now and again I get a random drop to 30. Not sure what causes it as its so random.
Other than that so far as the game has been behaving itself.
6700k
980ti
2560x1440p
Max settings
Running flawlessly except a tiny stutter when auto saving.
Very happy, looks gorgeous and the combat is very meaty.
Using about 3.7gb vram.
I have the same spec except two 980Ti @1440 and it uses up to 5900 Vram D:

Tried 800*450p with low settings and still getting 40~50 fps. I guess the game is broken on my end.
Your drops could be caused by a texture settings set too high for your card.
Game is in my disc drive installing as I type this.
Should I wait a few more days until they patch it? Or am I safe to jump in? I've got a decent rig (GTX 970, i7 6700K, 16 GB RAM).

If I had to guess then probably because you are telling it to. (As in, you have "Auto-detect best rendering settings" on)WHAT THE FUCK. WHY WOULD THE GAME CHANGE IT.
The game runs flawlessly for lots of people with a configuration similar to yours (like me). It doesn't for some. The only way to know is to try it.Game is in my disc drive installing as I type this.

Do you know what driver version he is using? I'd be very interested to know to see if we have more options beyond 314.22 which is quite old. Because if he is using the newest Nvidia driver on his 560Ti (as I was), he is not having a good experience![]()

Sounds like the autosave stutter.GTX 960 2g, I5 4590, 16 gigs ram and game running off a SSD.

I don't own the game, but I read 970 can easily reach 80c while playing DS3. If this is the case, GPU should downclock causing a loss of performance. If so, create a custom fan profile to fix the temp to 70c, let's say.
Anyone having problems with both kicking and lunging attacks when using a DualShock 4?
It's not impossible to do, but unless I consciously give a swift motion on the left stick and press either R1 or R2 in PERFECT SYNCHRONIZATION then I just end up doing a normal attack.
Haven't had this problem in the first two games. And it only seems to be isolated to my dualshock. When I use my 360 controller it's all gravy.
Locked 60 FPS at 1440p with a 970 sounds off.Works flawless for me on a 970/4790k at max settings, 2560x1440 and locked 60 fps.
That's completely normal.My 970 at 1440p reaches 77/78 degrees, i'm a little scared honestly lol

(I mean, you can get 60 in some areas, but also drops down to 45)
