Completely broke the online multiplayer for me and many others, it seems.
I had to do all of the farming through Silver Knights, three play-throughs with the Darkmoon/Blue Sentinels Covenant equipped and nothing. Took absolutely ages in order to get the Proofs and the max Covenant rank.
It's not fun, let me tell you.
By the way, if anybody wants any help to the platinum, I will gladly throw my name out there to help. I can drop rings (all of them, if you want), help on any boss, help with Mound Makers (summon and then jump off the edge) and anything else.

See my opinion a few posts up! Elite all the way, it IS Dark Souls for me.
Both Faraam and Firelink look fantastic though.
The Faraam set was one of the big reasons I stuck with DS2 for as long as I did, I was not a fan of that game.

Oh sorry , I did not had the time to check the color of their armor I was too busy avoiding their arrows (if we can call that arrow) and getting thrown off the ledge
Please tell me it's not like that for the rest of the area ....
They did except this time it's designed much better and in such a way that you have options available. It's not bullshit like it was before.

Here's an idea I've been toying with to help spread the wealth for suffering blues brothers:
Going into an area embered and as way of blue, then hiding using chameleon or a white branch. Potentially using dried fingers?
In general I think more people equipping way of blue when not actively trying to farm a covenant will make things better.
So do your duty to ease the burden and equip way of blue if you're going into unconquered territory while embered.

There's something off about the Faraam set in this game that keeps it from working for me. The torso is too large maybe. I've been using firelink lately since it's so light weight despite having a traditional armor look. It's funny the Faraam despite visually looking like it would be the lightest is the heaviest of the three.

IMO the Firelink looks ugly. But the starting Knight gear looks way better.

Reposting here because I feel like it has some info people need to know about Faith Builds, Chimes and Talismans. I see so many complain about Faith being bad but its not true at all. It takes a bit longer to get up and running than other builds but that's because its the most versatile of the builds.
People who say faith is bad have no idea what they are talking about.
As a faith Hybrid you have so many options.
You can cast spells that buff defenses. On top of that you can cast spells to continually heal you. Or even use the chimes art to heal you which is VERY FP efficient.
Miracle damage is actually VERY good as well. From does not want Faith builds chucking spears from long range anymore. Faith builds already have so many more avenues to success than others.
It even says so in the description of some spells that LIghtning wasnt meant to be thrown from distance but rather up close to pierce the stone scales of dragons. Go test it out.
At 50 faith with Morne's, Sun's Firstborn, Lightning Clutch and a plus 10 Sunlight Talisman I do 791 damage from range with Sunlight Spear on Lothric Castle Bonfire knights.. Right next to them I do over 1300.
You will hear a different sound if the Spears hit up close and the damage will reflect the change.
Not to mention that the Sunlight Talisman doesnt even have the best scaling.
Bet some of you didnt know that Talisman's also grant different poise for their weapon arts. The Sunlight Talisman does less damage overall than the others but the Unfaltering Prayer they can use grants infinite poise. Which means you're meant to get up close and personal with enemies to get that extra damage multiplier when using that talisman. The item description says as much.
Compare with the regular Talisman or Canvas Talisman which both gives only one hit of Poise while using Unfaltering Prayer but do more damage.
The Saint's Talisman has the Unfaltering Prayer weapon art as well but it doesnt work. It does the most damage of all the Talisman's but is balanced by having the weapon art be useless. The item description even states the Weapon Art of the Saint's Talisman is undermined by its frailty.
Then you have Chimes which do even more damage than all the Talismans but don't have the Unfaltering Prayer art. Instead they give you a continuous heal for 13 FP. If you want to stand back and chuck Spears then Chimes are the way to go. But even then the damage they do wont come close to using a Talisman up close because again From doesnt want already highly versatile faith builds being able to stay at range and trivialize the game.
I could understand feeling that getting a faith build up to snuff takes a while but saying they arent good or do "trash" damage is so far from the truth.

Beat the boss solo after a couple tries in learning the moveset. Posted my own playthrough video which might help: spoiler tagged for the others' sake.

it's okay to shield block, but even better to dodge roll into the attacks (saves you stamina for the counter). Look for opportunities to backstab it when they have a long cooldown after performing certain heavy attacks.
In the first phase, focus on only getting a hit before backing off. Wait for the 2nd to spawn, and then just hold out until the 3rd doppleganger spawns: this one has red eyes and is a wildcard that can assist you. It'll aggro on the other 2 you should assist it. It might hit you in the process, but it's essentially a third party foe. When the real one goes down, so will the others.
In the second phase, dodge sideways and try to stick close to the boss. His attacks are more dangerous if you try to back off. Heal only after he ends a combo or does his AOE streak move.

Regarding the armor sets, personally I always switch around armor sets everytime I play. It's between elite knight, Faraam, Artois, drakeblood, Alva, default knight.
Just kill me..

early/midgame boss question for pure sorc build:
is there a reasonable way to kill Deacons of the Deep with spells? All of the soul arrows seem like they would be too difficult to target. Are any of the flash sword spells good enough AoE?
I was grinding those bastards all morning. I got summoned as a Darkmoon Blade twice and in 4 hours and they were immediately after one another. First time I got a Proof of Concord Kept and a Proof of Concord Well Kept. Second time just one Proof.
They look a lot like the friendly nights that help you in Eleum Lloyce in the Dark Souls 2 DLC.

They work, but I ended up just using a magic infused Dark Sword.
That Soul Greatsword thingy seemed to pack quite a punch when I did that boss Coop with a friend, don't know how viable it would be solo though, depends on how many Ashen Estus you carry.
Since this boss will rarely damage you 1-7 should be possible, that might be enough FP regen.
Not just quests, two (admittedly convoluted) covenants as well. He went up to the roof before the shortcut too, maybe he'll come back since he had the right idea about the platforms
Also I'm waiting to see how long it takes him to notice the compare option in the inventory menu

i think they wear the same armor as the other knights of the boreal valley (like the one that drops the irithyll sword)

Startet a lvl 1 playthrough and beat 4 bosses so far (
) it's tons of fun but...
Now I'm kinda sad I can't enter the archives to get +stats ring for dex and int. The one for strength I already have, faith will be next on the list.
Having +5dex would be extremely nice to allow a lot more variety in weaponchoice. Are there any other ways to 'boost' stats or lower requirements?
I'm gonna continue towards farron keep next, what an amazing game overall!
