Turn-based roguelike RPG Darkest Dungeon II will launch for Xbox Series and Xbox One alongside its previously announced PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions on July 15 for $39.99, developer Red Hook Studios announced. Pre-orders are available now via Microsoft Store.

Darkest Dungeon II first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on October 26, 2021, followed by a full release on May 8, 2023.​

Whats this like compared to the first?
Mechanically, combat works the same in principle, everything else is different. The focus is more the characters; there's no hamlet to manage. In fact, the game is so different that both have a right to exist; DD2 is not a refined and better version of DD1. Only thing that is (probably) objectively better are the character models that are more refined, detailed, and offer more animations.

Pre-orders are now open at select global retailers for $39.99 / 39,99 € / £34.99 / 179.00 zł.
