I think this is among his best. He recorded so many fucking fantastic albums.

For those curious about Bowie here are his six best IMO.

Hunky Dory
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. (my personal favourite)
Aladdin Sane
Station to Station
Low
"Heroes"
 
Goddamnit.

At least he saw the release and universal praise of his latest work. Going like only Bowie could.

I was listening to his music all day at work, this is so sudden and shocking. we've lost a legend and one of my favorite 80's artists. RIP

His song Let's Dance was featured in Elite Beat Agents, while it's a cover it's still one of my favorite levels in the game. I'm gonna have to find my copy and give it a few more plays tonight in tribute.
 
Man, what a blow. Was listening to Blackstar since it came out, brilliant album. Going out like this, like others have said, is a really "Bowie" way to do it. He lived in his own terms, and he went out the same way. This album suddenly has so much more meaning, as if sung by a man waving goodbye from the world and leaving his feelings and lessons behind in such an artistic and unique way. The Bowie way.

RIP Ziggy, you'll be missed by planet earth.
 
RIP. My favorite was him in The Prestige. The homage in Tron Legacy was neat, but not him (sorry about that).

I'm glad he got the album out -- everyone's career ends some day, and that's a memorable end.
 
Fuck.... 2016 off to fucking shitty start right now.

Not a huge fan of the guy's music but I recognize the impact he had and his image.

Plus he was in my favorite vampire movie of all time, The Hunger.

It's confirmed at this point. I thought the social media channels could be compromised by a hacker or disgruntled employee because social media writers can have access to all of them at once. But his son is separate.
 
i was also looking at iman's twitter find out that bowie turned 69 just two days ago also her tweets sort seem like they were hinting at bowie's condition.
 
Did he announce he had cancer publicly? I am guess he probably knew he was going to die or at least terminally ill for a while now. The timing of his album release and then death makes this seem so sudden.

70 is not even average life expectancy.
