David Icke (born April 29, 1952) is a former professional football player, reporter, BBC television sports commentator, and British Green Party national spokesperson. Since 1990, he has been what he calls a "full-time investigator into who and what is really controlling the world." [1] (http://www.icke-media.com/biography.html).

The Green Party distanced itself from him in 1991 after he announced during a television interview that he was a "son of the Godhead." He began to dress only in turquoise and later maintained that the world was ruled by a secret group called "The Elite", or "Illuminati", which he linked to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an anti-Semitic tract. In 1999, he published a book claiming that the world had been taken over by a race of reptiles called the Babylonian Brotherhood, and that some prominent people were in fact lizards, including George Bush, Bill Clinton, the Queen Mother, and Kris Kristofferson. He has also claimed that members of the Bush family perform human sacrifices and drink human blood; that Henry Kissinger rapes young children; and that Queen Elizabeth II is a satanist.

He said he was the Son of God on one of Terry Wogan's shows, on the BBC channels in the UK. The audience was laughing at him, and he said he was glad they were laughing because its positive to laugh etc... then Wogan actually explained they were laughing at him and his beliefs. He was unfazed --

I think he played Metal Gear Solid 2 and watched "They Live" with Rowdy Roddy Piper in or something.... somewhere along the line he's hit his head, dreampt about those experiences and decided they were real life. Get onto this shit:

The Rothschilds, Rockefellers, the British royal family, and the ruling political and economic families of the U.S. and the rest of the world come from these SAME bloodlines. It is not because of snobbery, it is to hold as best they can a genetic structure — the reptilian-mammalian DNA combination which allows them to "shape-shift".

I don't agree with the anti-semetic comments, but you have to admit that this guy is onto someting here. Especially when it comes to polotics and how conveniently certain things happen. You don't really believe they're all coincidences, do you?

I'd be quite comfortable believing a select few people ruled the world... I can see how the world's dysfunction might be seen as a distraction from the world's real horror by these crackpots... but I don't think reptiles from Mars are calling the shots. Someone's been playing a little too much Warcraft II.

Relationships between governments (good/bad), money and all things that make money (commodities like land/labour, produce, oil, gold), religion, decades of an incrementally imbalanced quality of life geographically, social injustice... things like this are why the world is shitty for a large majority of its people. Maybe its easier to feel the President is a Lizard that eats/rapes babies, and we must rise up and wake each other to this horrible reality, than it is to understand there's no easy answer to our problems, or no good reason for why they came to be.
