[David Jaffe] Is Kratos BLACK or WHITE?!?

Topher

Identifies as young

If you don't care to watch, davidjaffe davidjaffe says Kratos is simply "Greek". He is "olive skinned" underneath the white ashes and describes Kratos as a "Hollywood Greek". Clearly, not black. Also says he is not "bisexual". Seems pretty obvious, but that came from a joke on twitter where Jaffe was trolling "homophobes".

Jaffe also says that race had nothing to do with the selection of TC Carson. The voice was chosen from a number of options from recordings.

That's one cool thing about voice acting is it gives a much wider range to the types of characters you can help bring to life. A black guy can voice a Spartan and it still ends up working.

Jaffe still rocking videos about GoW directly, or "God of War creator reacts" videos.

He sure knows how to milk videos attaching the GoW name into tons of videos.

I remember when the series was first out they asked this same question and the answer was that they took elements from different races and mixed them in, so everyone could see themselves in Kratos.

Jaffe you say?

He's white to me and straight. I remember on the PS2 original you can fuck the shit out some bitches with quick time

Yes, Mediterranean's can get dark with their olive skin. He was a Spartan in ancient Greece.

His father was Zeus and this is his mother Callisto,

The tanner skin was mainly done to accentuate the contrast of the ash from his family after his curse.
His skin was bronzed from years of leading his armies and fighting in the sun. It also served as a vehicle to accentuate the contrast of his family's ashes.

I like Jaffe but he makes the dumbest shit on this channel.
Not as dumb as the room temp IQtards saying a Spartan Greek should be black and played by a black actor in the live action show since he had black voice actors.

Time to make Nadine in Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy white then if that's the case. Derp!

True …… James earl jones as darth Vader comes to mind. the right voice actor brings the character to life.

If they ever do a GOW movie, I would probably cast Batista, Tom hardy , Gerard butler or Jason momoa as kratos. Though I think butler or Bautista are the best fits.

Because the last time worked on it was around 20 years ago.

Also, what does "God of War creator reacts to..." have to do with talking about Black Myth Wukong or Mortal Kombat?
#1- This was a response to an email I got sent and I saw it being a pretty heated topic on Brazil twitter so I answered it on my stream and made a stand alone video.

#2- GOD OF WAR CREATOR reacts or whatever I call it has everything to do with the algorithm. My name is searched as is TWISTED METAL and GOD OF WAR. The more I get those words in various key places (title, descriptions), the more people get served the video and thus the more people discover the channel and perhaps watch other videos. It's simply the cost of doing biz w/the youtube algo BUT the good news is, with LLM AI, Youtube is slowly pivoting to looking at the context of the whole video via the actual transcript and so it can get better at serving videos to people it thinks will like them based on a lot more than just some key words and phrases. Trust me, if it said 'Director of Drawn to Death' or 'From the guy who picked up Krispie Kreame at Kroger Last Night...' it simply would not reach as many people.

I never thought he was black until folks kept saying he was. I don't care either way, but I'm glad this is finally cleared up.
I once made a troll thread on another gaming forum asking why Atreus is white if Kratos is black. They fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Touche. I hadn't thought about it in years until it came up again with the new show. Sick of identity politics everywhere so one less fight over that shit is a good thing.
I'm right there with you. I'm glad the world is normalizing and it's ok to tell shrill identity label people to STFU because nobody cares.

I guess it would be a lot more expensive to change a video game character than say a Marvel character. Lol I always liked Stan Lee's interpretation of Spider-Man. Everyone is the hero.

You see kids, there was once a time before we went full retard where we understood that the race of voice actors is irrelevant.
