That is also true, most people around me don't give a fuck about anything outside their own bubbles. And maybe that's is correct way to live your life... I was always curious about how world operates and history of each region.
But I think statistics for USA would show higher % of ignorance, boosted by american exceptionalism (being told that you live in the best country in the world constantly) and educational system/media focusing mostly on internal USA stuff.
And this wouldn't be and issue (and wasn't in the past) but now with internet so many people make fool of themselves online... Especially in times where you can learn anything about the world in ~2s thanks to google and Ai.
