I've never played a Jak & Daxter game, mostly due to the horrendous character design. Will I be annoyed if I don't like sassy, anthropomorphic sidekicks?

Yay, platformer at heart.
I always loved the comedy personally of daxter. It it retains part of that, and the control is solid it will be mine day one.

The game is a no-compromise platform game at heart; it reminds alot of people of the first game in the series in that respect.

I like Daxter better than Jak, and Clank better than Ratchet. So this news is great.

Also, Clank's levels in R&C2 was the best part about that game. If they can make a compelling game out of that concept, watch out.

That looks great! It looks like they're making an effort to keep it true to the roots of the series, but also branching off in new directions with the Daxter character and his storyline. They're also working with Naughty Dog and with the original voice actors, so this should really be a top-notch production. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the game soon!
