Whats with
Batgirl and Robin being transferred to Bludhaven?
Nightwing's series is over, so I guess something dramatic happens to make Batman send the other two there. Its enough that he killed blockbuster, I guess.

If I had to guess I'd say
Nightwing is either going to jail or giving up being a hero over this whole Blockbuster dead stuff

It helps if you read...

NIGHTWING #102

Written by Chuck Dixon and Scott Beatty, art and cover by Scott McDaniel and Andy Owens

"Nightwing Year One" Part 2 of 6, guest-starring Superman. After being fired by Batman, the former Robin seeks direction and understanding under the bright lights of Metropolis. But the Man of Steel may not have time to help Dick after a team of mad bombers threatens to blow Metropolis to smithereens.

32 pages, $2.25, in stores on Jan. 26.

Dude. That solicitation is for the Nightwing: YEAR ONE storyline running in the ongoing series. The YEAR ONE takes plus in the past, and therefore, has no bearing to CURRENT events.

As for Hamburglar's question, I don't know. But Nightwing is heavily involved in the next few issues of Identity Crisis, I hear. Maybe we'll find out more soon.

Is this official or just the rumor that's been running around?

Spike, that's part of the Year One story which will be a re-telling of when Dick, as Robin, was fired by Batman. It's not about the current Dick, as Nightwing. And I don't think Batman can actually fire Nightwing, this name was given to him by Superman for one thing.

Ah, I see. ...So how long until Aqualad gets his "Year One" story?

EDIT: I am sorry, Hamburglar, for that smart-ass remark. I was the one who should have read more carefully.

Nightwing got cancelled? ahh....thats too bad. I really enjoyed his book. Though I kinda got lost what was happening after the
killing Blockbuster/Tarantula thing....I think I missed some issues, but why is Dick marrying (???) Tarantula?

Well Dick was never fired by Batman he quiet being Robin and then took on the Nightwing name because he didn't want to be under Batman anymore, or at least that's how it was told back in the late 80s Teen Titans/New Titans books. I take it with all the Zero Hour, Millienium crap that DC pushed through to fix the fixes they made during the Crisis on infinite Earths, that was supposed to fix the DC univers, that story may not be true anymore.

Fuck! I just spoiled something about Identity Crisis by reading a synopsis of a future Adventures of Superman or something.
