Just being pedantic, the ANN blurb in the op is wrong. Venus Vacation was never released on PS4 or Vita, it's PC exclusive.
Vollyball is completely stat based and automated, there are no minigames and it's based around gacha for swimsuits.
I wonder if Scarlet will be Venus Vacation on consoles, or if it'll be X3V+F with the added characters.

Not sure what TK is doing TBH, I bought the deluxe version of DoAX3 (still unopened till this day), but then they released Vacation and now they are "re-releasing" the same game but with maybe 1 added character.
Kinda bummed out by this stupid shit, PS4 should have gotten everything Vacation had, freely updated and not 3 versions of said game with possibly minor changes.
Even for TK it's a really strange and annoying move.

Same, have deluxe editions of Venus and Fortune, and bought digital copies so I didn't have to open them.
PS4 lacks a lot of stuff from Vacation, but Vacation isn't the same either. If this ends up being a merge of the two it could have a lot of content.
Take the playable Volleyball, minigames, shared swimsuit system from X3, throw in Leifan and the new girls, the new swimsuits and hairstyles, and the monthly events from VV, and there'd be a ton of content to enjoy.

I wonder if this is just going to be like some GOTY version of DOAX3 that comes with all the swimsuits and a better unlock method than the ridiculous grind that DOAX3 had. I already have DOAX3 on PS4 (getting my PSVR today and I'm really looking forward to jumping in), so I'm curious on what this'll bring to the table.

If this has all DLC, I'll be gettin it - if it is uncensored. Like... I've been thinkin about buying the game from play-asia for the past 2 month, but always thought that the DLC grind (and the HK PSN account stuff) are too many loops to jump through.
Too bad that they're still skipping the PC. Would've been nice to get it there.

A pamphlet for the game lists the playable characters, with the original 9, Misaki and "???". Collectors edition also has swimsuit DLC with 11 items in it, so it seems ok to say another character is confirmed, but whether it'll be Leifan (who came 10th in the character poll) or whether it'll be one of the other 3 new characters, we might not know for a little while.
Sad to see I won't get both Tamaki and Leifan, but I'd be happy with either.

With everything going on at Sony, the release hitting two consoles, and the previous handling of Xtreme3, this will probably be an interesting game to follow, up to release. I'm conceptually open to grabbing a copy, depending on how everything shakes-out.

So, seems PS4 version will still have VR (unless Sony tell them no at the last minute).
Besides that it confirms a second new character, mentions balance changes to levelling and earning money, Switch version has items the PS4 version doesnt (an item to force swimsuits to fall apart; on PS4 it'll only happen during events, and PS4 lacks the skincare options that let you change the firmness of the girls assets, while Switch will have it).
Switch will also get a free to play version, and the new characters will be DLC for PS4s Fortune, too.
The removal of the skincare and swimsuit destruction items from the PS4 version makes me a bit suspicious.

Wonder how much more is going to get censored under the PS4, surprise there’s a VR mode fit it though so maybe it’s not all bad news for fans? Unless they take that out too at the last minute.

The T&A is over the top in my opinion, but I've been wanting to play a new volleyball game since Beach Spikers on Gamecube. I know the Switch is region free, but how does the language work for games like this? Would I be able to buy the Japanese version, set the language to English and basically be unaware that it's a Japanese game?
