Dead Space for me was the then first next-gen game that I witnessed during the PS3 days and it just blew me away and now really excited for this, hope it shines!

Well since last gen, I'd say EA has been making some correct moves.
Offering more freedom to their teams, changing heads of studios, removing MP from Dragon Age, making it next gen only, making this next gen only. Thus far, I've been ok with lots of moves they''ve made.
If this was just a cash grab, why even make it next gen only? I mean, its a remake on PS4 and XONE regardless as clearly it would still be a different generation, so why not just pimp out cross gen for the moneyz? So I think they really do want to have the better horror title and if that means being next gen only, then so be it.
So to have so many go cross gen and for EA of all publishers to confirm so many titles as being next gen only is a bit odd lol I got to take them at their word and see how it turns outs, thus far what I've seen looks amazing.

I'm not going to be charitable for EA remaking a game from a franchise they completely mismanaged in the first place. I also think it's a bit strange to assume this will be good because Dead Space was good. It's not like the team that made the original is doing the remake.

Yeah, this is my take away as well. Outside of BF2042 they've done pretty well, they published last years GOTY and that's not too bad.
Ubisoft are this generations EA afaik.

I think it's going to be incredible. I get a sense that Motive was the right team for this. Watching dev diaries, they seem very passionate and knowledgeable about the series.

Its hard to get a read on Ubisoft, I'd need to see more on how they handle next gen and see what new IP they reveal, if any at all.
Well, kinda irrelevant. Most remakes are not done by the original team btw. I'm ok with that. Like Demon Souls was made by Bluepoint games.

For one, Isaac will have voice like in Dead Space 2.
Makes sense in Dead Space 2, where you find many people alive. But first Dead Space? It can't completely kill the original mood.
Imagine Isaac talking to himself like Nathan Drake or Aloy *shivers*
I also saw somewhere that they will develop Isaac's girlfriend a little more. Maybe by making her playable when everything goes to shit in the Ishimura.

Staying quite and only listening to monsters moving inside the walls, knowing that you are there on your own, with no one to talk to was 99% of the horror

I'm hoping this game will be actually called Dead Space Remake and that this game is a stealth-sequel just like FF7 Remake was a stealth-sequel of the original.
That whole gimmick of the future and the past with FF7 could work better here in this game. Maybe Isaac is having some weird interference or signs from the whole marker and what not and its him from the future trying to send a message to Isaac from the past and it changes something that seems minor, but it has a ripple effect where we end up with a Dead Space 2 Remake that looks nothing like the original and then a 3rd game that is off-the-rails from what was originally released back then.

Its literally proving most times a remake is not really done by the original team, remakes in general are as rare as it comes in gaming and the few that we have are usually done by a team that specializes in that or a separate team or something, but we got many that turned out amazing regardless.
