Thank you international.

Fucking North America assholes want to see more Adam Sandler trash.

Sometimes I really hate the movie-going audience.

Anyways, saw it in IMAX. It was fucking glorious.

Pacific Rim 2 needs combining Jaegers,

I don't know if society is ready for that.

Not yet.

ehhhhhh, it was fair enough to call this a bomb and seriously it didn't do that well.

It's not like it broke Avatar numbers or anything, it barely skirted by. I'm not saying crow shall not be eaten, but lets not get over-zealous about how successful this movie really was.
Sorry, but I dont see anyone clamouring over it's box-office success.

It's just that there were/are people with an axe to ground that have made themselves look silly.

This is

the best news ever.

GDT deserves it. He's one hell of a visionary and a fantastic director with an unlimited, beautiful, scary imagination.

the guy with the dan aykroyd avatar comes to mind.

Thank you China!

Give Gipsy Danger a jet pack upgrade for the sequel, Del Toro. The world needs flying jaegers battling badass mecha-kaiju.

This is awesome news. Hopefully Japan does big numbers too. Everyone buy the bluray and lets make sure this happens!

I have little doubt that Legendary is considering it, but I'll believe it when I see it. Lots of sequels get considered but fall off the radar.

I'd be game, however. Especially if they give Mako more to do when in Jaegers.

I'm not even sure how they can do a sequel

Me, I'm just glad it's finding an audience with somebody. It was the best blockbuster of the year, and it got outgrossed by a fuckin' Adam Sandler comedy with the world's first negative RT rating. That was a sad day.

You guys also have to keep in mind that the average regular ticket price in China is ~$5 (doesn't matter time of day), so quite a lot of people went for a Wednesday opening.

Maybe they can make a more entertaining movie this time. I thought the movie seriously needed a battle in the middle of the movie.

I have been to movies in China and never was a new American movie less than 60 RMB. And time of day does matter as Tuesday is a cheap day at some theaters.

Um...well...I live in China?

No one here EVER pays for the full price. There are groupon tickets for every damn theater here that's 30 RMB (or less) for a movie ticket. Foreigners usually don't take advantage of this.

Yes! Every fibre of my being is ready for more Jaeger vs. Kaiju action! Delay whatever project's currently on your plate del Toro, we need a sequel before my hype reaches critical mass!

I know it's not definite, but I just loved this movie so much :)

I live in China too so now you are qualifying your answer. Some people obviously pay full price as I have been in Chinese theater lineups seeing Chinese people pay the same as me so your tickets are all less than 5 dollars crap is wrong.

Duh, when did I say no one pays for full price. Just that groupon is the hot shit here right now and majority of the people take advantage of it. I mean, why would you pay full price when you can buy it the tickets for $5 beforehand with no limitation? Plus, majority of the theaters here have memberships which cuts ticket prices in half also.

But I guess you're the expert.

Will you two just kiss already?
