Yeah I guess the late upgraders won't get Sumika without paying extra. I backed the Collector's Box amount during the kickstarter and it has Sumika added.

I ran some numbers real quick here:

Sumika figure: $60
Vita physical bundle: $80
Vita digital bundle: $60
PC digital bundle: $60
Codex digital: $10
Photon digital bundle: $30
No estimative for physical and digital OST and artbook.

That's $300. Since the OST and artbooks weren't available as add-ons, we don't know how much they'd be. That's twice the value of the $150 box, if you look at every single item separately.

Question before I fill out the survey, is the shikishi autograph a simple printing or is it hand-signed? The email kind of makes it seem like it'll be a print rather than an actual signature. Also, if that's the case, will the boxes be hand-signed? Granted, the boxes being signed will be from the Muv Luv team, so there's no telling who'll actually sign it...

I think it'll be printed, everyone'd get the same one, as the signed box, you'll get a random person tied to the project to sign your box.

Yeesh, "random person". Not sure I like that. I don't want some guy who delivers the coffee to the staff signing my copy. I might go for the shikishi then, even if it's just a printing.

I won't disregard the importance of coffee, however. More energy = more work hours = more work being done = finished product in faster time. He/She really might be the hero we deserve.

Edit: Just one final check, we're definitely not charged for anything extra until BackerKit closes, right? I really want to add the physical Codex to my order, but want to budget it in for later if I can.

Correct. At checkout it said they only bill your card when the survey is locked down.

Here's the exact wording:

Your credit card is securely stored by Stripe.com, and wont be charged until the project creators lockdown date. You will not need to re-enter your card info if you need to make updates to your cart.

Yeah, I'd just keep it off for now until you can confirm you can afford it since you can still edit your order until the backer kits are locked in.

Since the physical Codex is limited, I'm going to lock it in now. I don't want to miss out on that.

And done! I went for the signed shikishi too. $80 seems a bit expensive for the physical Codex, but at least I didn't have to pay anything extra for shipping [aside from the $5 I'm already paying for the PC Collector's Edition].

It should be available to everyone, but I can't say for sure.

Nope outside of the 3 digital addons for the game this is all I see for add ons and nothing else, I made sure to select all add ons too.

Hmm, that's strange that they would offer you the figma [another limited item] but nothing else.

Have you tried using the secondary Backerkit email they sent out? Apparently some people were having issues with the first so they fixed/revised it. I'm not sure if the URL differ or not, but it could be worth a try. Other than that, maybe try sending them an email. I saw no mention of the physical Codex being CE-exclusive add-on, so you should be able to purchase it.

I've tried the updated link as well as multiple browsers and nothing changes, the stuff that was supposedly fixed from the first link is identical to how it was for the first link too.

Do you happen to know the email to contact them? I tried briefly checking the KS page but couldn't find it.

Try clicking on "The Muv-Luv Team" under "Created by" on the Kickstarter page and choosing "Contact me" maybe? I'm not sure, I haven't tried contacting them either, haha.

I got a reply! I was told exactly what I was doing wrong, I was adding a separate $150 vita CE to my $1 pledge and they told me that to get all those other rewards/have access to them I'd need to upgrade my $1 pledge instead of just adding the add on vita CE. I didn't know I could do that so now I'm all set and I have all the digital goals, the figma and access to all the other add ons ^_^

PS Vita physical edition seems like the best version to pick, I'm glad. I effectively get 3 versions of the game with my Collector's Box.

I went with the mini-shikishi because i guess "the Muv-Luv Team" means the guys behind the kickstarter and not the original staff who worked on the game.
If I see I got that wrong, I may change my survey though.

You might want to contact Degica about that before proceeding if you want the figma, they may be able to help you.

There was no Sumika figure listed in the collector's box before I completed the Backerkit survey, but after I completed it it was listed in the contents. Not sure if it's the same for everyone else. I backed the kickstarter at the $150 tier.

How exactly do you upgrade the pledge? I can't seem to figure it out. I confirmed the $1 pledge when I first got the mail and I'm worried that might have blocked me from upgrading.

Hello! This is how I believe I did it

Go to your backer-kit email and get to the page in the top image, if you click on where I have circled in image 1 then you should get to some variation of image 2 clicking on the upgrade area that I have circled should then give you access to a whole ton of options to chose from the actual pledge tiers and not just add ons.

I also pledged just $1 and changed it multiple times/confirmed before figuring it out so you should be safe in your case ^_^

Destroyer-Class BETA Plushie Photos!

We have received the final plushie prototype from CanaBears. Enjoy the menacing Destroyer-Class with softness of -15 on the Mohs scale!

We've corrected the tint of the body as requested and the legs' formation as well. Next step is to start producing them en masse.

P.S. We didn't change the shell's concaveness at the back. Its side view photo angle is just slightly 3/4 towards the back.

Vita port seems to be working fine.

Thanks to NANOTORA for sharing a live clip!

Spearheaded by 5pb, the Muv-Luv trilogy Japanese version will be out together with Teito Moyu (Expanded Visual Novel version of the first two episodes of Total Eclipse anime) and Schwarzesmarken demo bundled along the PS Vita release.

The PS Vita version has been working great in all of our tests and we're looking forward to integrating the English version and getting that out to everyone as soon as possible.

All of the Collector's Boxes will now have an exclusively printed Muv-Luv Development Team signature on glossy paper instead. We've decided to do this because all boxes will be made in the US, and the fans have expressed more interest in the Japanese development team's signature as opposed to the U.S. Muv-Luv Staff.

Apparently nobody wanted signatures from the localization team marring their boxes, haha.
