Well, the PSP had a ton of issues at launch and it still seems that they aren't all cleared up! I'm sure that by Christmas Sony will have non faulty systems rolling out of the plants and kiddies will be happy with their gifts, but man almost a whole year to get a non faulty system out seems like a long time. Anyway, my question comes from a recent debate that was on here regarding yields and the number of ps's/spus(???) that were going to be on each PS3 chips. Kutagari seemed to want 8 per chip yet the yeild seemed like it would be very low with maybe only 6 of the 8 would be accessible due to quality issues (similarly to the whole 'x-button' PSP design issue). I am curious if people think the PS3 will have a ton of issues (or a few) at launch? It would seem that Sonys hardware record continues to go down hill, just like their consumer electronics do. I would be surprised that people would further tolerate crappy hardware from Sony if there were widespread hardware issues at the PS3's launch. On the other hand though, it is Sony's bread and butter so more than likely it ill not have any issues, but you never know with Sony anymore.
