Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Hit level 20, time for a nap!

I am kind've confused as to why leveling up happens so fast? I didn't finish the story, did two strikes, no multi, barely explored the worlds... Yet I'm at max level already? Seems like it could've been slowed down a ton... Especially considering every weapon you get you replace almost immediately on the next drop anyway. Just odd how fast this is all happening, I don't recall Destiny 1 having such a fast leveling system, but maybe I'm wrong?

Either way, so far loving the game!

Nah it was fast. There's a curve where leveling slows dramatically as you approach end game light level, and then painfully slow as you approach max stat gear if you chase that.

Enjoy it now while you can. They call it the Farm for a reason.

:)

One thing has disappointed me already if I'm not wrong... Can you lose shaders/transmat effects? It seems removing one from an item deletes it instead of just putting it in your inventory.
Seems ridiculous you lose shaders/transmat effects forever seemingly?

Yes, they are single use items. Better farm them Bright Engrams or shovel over some €.

Gothalion already has 7 Exotic guns.

Why does Bungie refuse to make their rarest guns....rare.

This was one of my biggest frustrations with D1.

After vanilla destiny asking for tjis is absurd. I would much rather have it this way than what it was back during D1s launch.

this is what worries me. will see in a few hours

Worth hanging on the these rep coins/items?

Or jus hand them in as you go? Dont want to miss out on potential engrams later if i use rep coins now to get them.

Can anyone tell me what happens to adventures after reaching 20 or finishing the story? do they become relevant again?

Did some story missions going to the planets only to find out the adventures on earth stay super low lvl with garbage gear :(

because the 1-20 level is largely irrelevant. power level is what matters and what you'll be grinding for.

Is the Crucible quickplay borked? Trying to get a single game in and it can't find anyone. Odd.

Tried a couple times and gave up on it after a half hour or so each time. Got to 6/8 a couple times, but people seemed to get pissed about waiting and just drop out.

No worries you won't miss out on anything. Once you cap your rep bar for the first time (assuming you're not 20 yet) you're pretty much forced to save them until you hit cap.

I have 40 minutes left to decide to pick this game up... I played Destiny 1, all dlc, stopped playing a while after Taken King came out... :( I feel torn...

Your Guardian is now a mute isn't he/she? -_-
3 hours into the game and I've never heard my Hunter utter a word... Unless "hup! Huhh! Hyahhh!" While jumping counts...

I've been lurking this thread debating the same thing. I spent well over 1,000 hours on the original Destiny and I don't know if the sequel is the right game for me. I'm still burnt out on the series and the sequel looks like more of the same.

That could be a positive for most but for me, not so much.

I feel i'm rushing through the story. It's probably better to do some exploring in each area before moving on. I'm level 12 and i've already unlocked all patrol zones. I think nessus looks the best. And EDZ is ugly. Maybe because of the light.

And my god, i'm so tired of the hive. I don't mind the other returning enemies. But after dozens of "we've woken the hive!!" and two hive raids i can't stand these space zombies anymore.

I did some public events and despite them not being entirely original, i mean some are straight from D1 with minor tweaks, i had fun.

I consider it a good thing... I hate when loot games take forever to hit max level.

All loot before you hit max level is irrelevant so everything I'm earning right now doesn't really matter to me as I'm level 12 atm... Just let me hit the max quickly and start earning that meaningful stuff.

Finishing the main story right before or right after hitting level 20 would feel perfect.

Fuck the next month.

The story and cinematic improvements, as well as the game overall, is a contender for one of the best leaps in quality in a video game sequel ever.

Response from virginmedia ref the sparrow issue.
