Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I feel like I'm running out of kinetic and energy weapon ammo far too often especially in strikes... During boss fights it's really bad at times. It's like they didn't compensate for the fact we use primary guns on bosses far more now than in D1.

Completely empty im all guns in a couple of scenarios so I just run around for 30 seconds waiting on the auto refill.

I didn't get any exotic engram drops in any strikes I did but got one during a public event...lol was like wtf but hyped too.

Honestly never had this happen to me, especially with all the adds they throw at you.

A game with rich more to use it's lore go make a great story.

The game had an actual story this time around but I wouldn't call it good by any means, you can tell they had to made it where literally any demographic could enjoy it which usually really dumbs things down.

One of 3 armors on Titan
and
One of 3 guns at IO. Apparently, If you already have any of these items, they wont offer it. I already had riskrunner and I was only offered 2 guns lol
 
I had a lot of fun doing the Rat King strike. 3rd attempt with a randomer here on Gaf and a randomer from DestinyLFG. Great team and we did it in 3 attempts. I have heard horror stories in attempting the 5 minute timer, but it actually felt rather easy.

Love this game. I much prefer speeding through strikes than sitting back forever like in Destiny 1.

Destiny's end game is all about fashion now.

It is the Optimacy set (Eververse armor). I got the pieces I'm wearing from my free bright engrams but she is also selling the gauntlets for 900 Bright Dust.

My leg exotic is the ST0MP-EE5 and my cape is Be Thy Guide (the one that is a bit shorter with a hawk on the back).
 
I dyed my armor and now I can't ever change it this is my life now doomed to forever walk the earth looking like a mismatched hobo with leather cloth and a giant chrome helmet.

Yea... It's not exclusive to strikes by any means

Sometimes there's just ridiculous stretches where no ammo drops for some reason. Maybe it's just a bug and not the drop rates themselves I don't know but this definitely happens... Other people I've been playing with have mentioned it too.
 
So those tokens you turn into the NPCs on your side ...

Better to redeem those later when RNG slows down, no?

I'm 225 and the game just keeps giving me weapons to replace my old ones.

Game's recommended light for nightfall is 240. Personally i'd say 260.

If I had to guess the raid it'll probably say 260 rec. but no confirmation afaik.

I don't think so? Im pretty sure you have enough for everything when you hit 20.
 
Am I missing something? I just played through the campaign again on a 2nd Warlock, because apparently it's how you gear up faster. I got 1 exotic weapon at lvl15 and an engram at the end of the story (I'm sure there was also some exotic armour from a quest, but I guess it's optional and I just hadn't done that as I was focusing on the campaign?) Is that it? No clan rewards, no bright engrams, I'm assuming and hoping doing Cayde's quests will unlock a fresh Flashpoint, but it really doesn't seem as worth it as some people have said it is..In the time it took me to complete that again, I could've probably gotten 2-3 exotics from Public Events. I know the exotic weapon I got could've been an upgrade, but to do that I'd have to take the time to grind to 20 before the 3rd planet.

Yeah, went wonderfully. Coordinating all our supers and burning him down made him mad easy. In our winning attempt I think we had something ridiculous like 7 or 8 mins left. And then me finding out that I have to the NF step last not in any order lol.

No worries though, did it all again with a couple of people from GAF and taught them the strat. Used wardcliff coil during arc burn like the other dude was in our NF and it does crazy work.

Really fun and bring back memories of raiding with all the coordination. Really stupid that they don't keep the name of burn down in the left hand corner up at all times. Countless times we simply forgot which burn it was.
 
PHEW. I'M DONE.

While everyone's been enjoying the endgame, I decided to spend my week 1 knocking out those subclass achievements. So I've spent all week running the campaign on all three toons, then grinding out that third subclass.

Just got Stormcaller which was the last one I needed. Back to my Titan, and onto the endgame!

I believe some of the adventures reward unlock points from what I’ve seen. I know i still need a few more unlock points to finish my third subclass and I haven’t dabbled too much with the adventures yet.

I think you also get points from leveling up after 20 along with Bright Engrams.

Io's layout alone is far more interesting than pretty much anything in Destiny 1 except for the Dreadnaught. Actually all of the areas are a huge step up in that regard.
 
Thinking back I feel like the campaign breezed through Io and I forgot what it looked like. Maybe it is because it doesn't have a world quest and I didn't interact with Asher a lot.

EDZ is amazing--looks great and has a lot of stuff to do with people always around
I wish Titan had public events inside buildings to promote foot traffic all over the world.
Nessus looks gorgeous.
I forgot anything memorable about Io.

I did it a second time to help others and got a legendary engram and assaults currency at the end chest that gave me more light so i think yes we can do it more. The good old nighfall rewards come from the quest Zavala gives and he gives the rewards once a week but the nightfall can be done more than once and get rewards
 
When people are saying the wait to finish the milestones.. Does this go for the ones you get at the very start? (Like 2 pvp matches etc) or some other kind of milestones? (Someone was talking about weekly ones). Confused here

Yeah I have gotten six or seven exotic engrams from public events. Too bad most of them were when I was sub 250 lol. There really isnt ay reason for strikes apart from the milestone chain unless youre in it for funzies. Which means the strike playlist may be tough to find a match in after a week or two.
 
Regarding the story, did anyone else really hope that
Ghaul would realize the error of his ways and redeem himself? I actually found myself sympathizing with him most of the campaign; I would be pissed too if the traveler arbitrarily chose a bunch of other species to help but just left mine in the dust. Given his past, his justification for his actions made a lot of sense. I was hoping he would end up turning on his former mentor and allying with the guardians in a genuine act of self sacrifice, and in the process come to understand what the speaker was telling him all along.
To me that would have been a really satisfying arc and payoff, but I get why things played out the way they did.
 
Anyone willing to help/guide me with the nightfall? 271 titan. I think I read a guide that said if everyone went in wielding arc you could kill the boss quick if you drop the towers and then everyone ulti
