I wonder if 6 ratkings in the raid will be op

Someone theorized :
1 person - 100% damage - 140 damage per shot
2 people - 214% damage - 300 damage per shot
3 people - 285% damage - 400 damage per shot
4 people ~ 330% damage ~ 460 damage per shot
5 people ~ 358% damage ~ 500 damage per shot
6 people ~ 375% damage ~ 525 damage per shot
Based on some anecdotal evidence of 3 people measurements
Most people don't play the game as much as the majority of Gaffers do, for one.
Other is for design purposes and normal leveling is generally used more for story progression than anything.
Oh ok, I had a friend who bought it yesterday and is already level 20. I just thought it was a strange design choiceYou can't really, well not without really planning, but with heroic nightfall and raids hitting that level cap won't be an easy thing to do
It's legendary shards.
Time to get farming then. Thanks.I've heard its shards yeah. I mean. I heard that here lol.

Yeah, that's what he said, but why not just skip the levelling all together and just make it about light level and loot then? Skip the pointless hurdle of levelling up to 20Light level is what really matters.
First flying knee kill in crucible followed by a flying knee double kill. Didn't even know that was possible.
Bright engramsJust saw a warlock in the game with a helmet called the Hood of Optimancy. Looked badass kind of like the Titan helmet from VoG in D1
Any idea where you get it from?
I have bad news for you...Just saw a warlock in the game with a helmet called the Hood of Optimancy. Looked badass kind of like the Titan helmet from VoG in D1

now the question is should I infuse it....
Should I be hoarding these Legendary Engrams or pop these babies open? Do they scale with my current PL? I'm lvl 20 and 222 currently.
Why? I feel like it's overrated. You actually need to be within close proximity for the buff to even occur.looks like the Rat king might be a requirement for the Raid, thank god i got it

People assuming that since the buff stacks up to 6x that it'll melt in the Raid. But having to be in close proximity is a deal breaker really, the drop off is not far at all. And it's still a Sidearm at the end of the day. Seems more like a novelty than anything to me.how you figure
Ah, that makes senseDestiny is played by a looooot of people, I imagine in some ways it's an accessibility thing to ease players into the light system through a more traditional progression. It also allows for unlocking abilities with skill points and level gates, something that would be more difficult with a 'light-level-only' system because the number fluctuates based on gear equipped.
Back in Vanilla Destiny when it was about levels, alot of people couldn't find a group to raid because there are too many rampant douchebags on LFG who will only want people who are level 30 hence the forever 29 meme. So in the end Bungie scrap it and introduced lights levels in TTK where light level matters the most and the level is used to mask your light level so as to prevent situations like this. It was pointless but it made some leeway as being underlevel now doesn't provide you severe disadvantages unlike Vanilla Destiny.Yeah, that's what he said, but why not just skip the levelling all together and just make it about light level and loot then? Ah, that makes sense
Changing subjects though, I have a very noob question. I've noticed that one of the upgrades for hunter (the second button map for O, O) instantly "recharges" my melee, but... what melee? It seems to be infinite for me? I can stab dudes in the face numerous times in a row. I am obviously missing something though. Can someone help this poor noob out
I have bad news for you...
Eververse/Bright Engrams.
Bright engrams
!!!

thinking infusing it into the nameless midnight.
Fuuck.
I just wasted all my legendary shards by buying 5 Drangs from Tyra Karn for no reason. I saw Drang in her inventory and thought she was giving me another one for some reason, so I clicked Acquire. Then I was like shit, free Drangs! So I just kept clicking until I was out of shards. Ugh. That was enormously stupid.
They sell for 10 shards, and dismantle for 4 so I got like 16 out of 50 shards back.
Sorry dude. I did the exact same thing, but I caught on after buying 2.
how you figure
You can turn them in whenever you want. These guides were for power levelling to be raid ready as soon as it drops. And now we know the Raid is going to only be 260-280 PL anyway...So i beat the game yesterday and read some guides in op that said don't do any activities that give legendary awards until level 260 which is the soft cap for blues.
But then i heard that the tokens on planets have a soft cap of 265. I am 244 now and kind of tired of hunting for blues by doing public events, lost sectors and adventure missions.
Is it ok to turn in my 250 or so edz and titan tokens or should i wait till i hit 260?
I haven't done any of the post game missions or strikes yet. Will that be enough to push me from 265 to 280?
It will infuse at -5 so it will be 284 PL, just in case you didn't know. I put a 294 into a Nameless Midnight today and got it to only 289 due to the +Attack Mod on the Mida.
Thank you for the explanation, that makes a lot of sense now and I do remember hearing about itBack in Vanilla Destiny when it was about levels, alot of people couldn't find a group to raid because there are too many rampant douchebags on LFG who will only want people who are level 30 hence the forever 29 meme. Ah! I don't have it yet, that's whyThere's an ability melee that does additional elemental damage. It's the middle rechargeable ability next to your grenade charge. You can always standard melee but it doesn't do the elemental damage unless it's charged.
Why?level up the progress bar and get an engrams. Then hope for the best? I got the entire set...Well that sucks.
Same shit happened to me yesterday at Tyra. Thought she was giving me Drang again for some reason, and lost some shards on it. Sitting here wishing that Xur has everything on discount this week.Ditto.
I think it was Shaxx who seemed to be giving me a free Ghost. I took about 5 before I realised.
I'd been purposefully saving all of my shards for Xur too :'(
FML.
I know it's weird, but I'm glad they left some game modes out of Guided Games: keeps the community cranking along better IMO (well, there is no GG yet anyways, but you get what I mean haha).
In other news, can someone riddle me this:
Drops in the field (blues) are in the same boat as decrypting engrams with Rahool et al eh? aka I don't have to be my highest power level equipped at any stage in the game to get the right drops eh?
Thanks based DGAF.
