Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Watched part of the campaign just to see what it's like, seems okay. But the ingame cutscene at the end was kinda ruined by the silent player protagonist, it just feels awkward as hell to have a mute that's only able to react with facial expressions

Boom.

It's time to find out why this series is so awesome.

Also Bungie just barely put out a tweet saying that you "may experience a queue line" for the game haha!

Wow, been in line 15 minutes. If someone told me 20 years ago that there are line online as there is in real life i would have called them nuts... 15 minutes, wow.

Thread is going fast so I'll ask again:

Do you guys know which sub classes each class starts with? Is it both except for the TTK classes?

This is actually normal. Coming from a 20+ year SE who has worked on the server of a AAA game ;-)

It's really not and anyone running the show should consider this a failure. Paying customers having to wait 10+ minutes to play on launch day is a shitty customer experience.

So you think it's honestly based on who connected a nanosecond earlier? I think it's pure chaos.

Precision and MMO launches rarely go together.

Why wouldn't it be? The server is just sitting there accepting connections, dumping them into a queue as they come in. How else would it work? That's both the simplest solution from a technical standpoint, and the fastest.

Actually, it really is, but if you think it's not it's just because you haven't dealt with these kinds of problems in a production environment before, but still think you know better than those who have.

Good thing I don't have shit to do tomorrow. Just some nicotine, caffeine and my existential hatred of the same thing happening every launch of a big multiplayer game!

Luckily I got the eula like a minute in so this is the real queue

So those of you who picked it up at midnight physically.. what is it like waiting in a line after you waited in a line.

So stupid they are not ready for this.

Im in queue, I have been in queue from practically the moment my system allowed me to launch the game, and I have no idea how much longer I will be in queue.

wunderbar

I think physical proximity to the servers plays a role. There's a reason trading servers are located right next to the stock exchange.

We all clicked instantly, and here we wait.
