Well, I was going to give the new season a chance, but after 5 years they still can't get their servers right for an update/launch so I guess I'm going back to MLB the Show. This type of shit would be seen as unacceptable from every other playerbase of a Gaas/MMO style game, but Bungie fans just take it and say be patient. Where is all the money they make going? How on earth can they not have upgraded servers and server capacity for the launch of new seasons, it's the only time this shit game is worth playing for two weeks.

I started playing just now. did the new starting run. I like the new Ikora VA, but you can clearly hear her voice is different than before. right now trying to join someone for the team xp bonus but can't do the /join thing for the Steam code from LFG. kinda odd. no other issues so far at least.

isn't that impossible now since they killed off Sagira? Osiris basically don't have a ghost now, same as Eris Morn. so he can't really be the Vanguard or at least take the leading role.

I love the actress. She has been amazing in the expanse. I hope they keep her. She sounds super intense and I think she will need to be in that role this season.

As for the season... I ran through the free content and I'm really not sure the season pass is even worth considering. The 6 player thing was kinda meh.

I'm in the same boat. I like Lakshmis voice, but I still hate the new Ikora. She is Dinklage levels of just reading the script with no passion or energy at all. I'd rather she just stayed mute.

New content is bad. 6 person activities outside of raids are a waste of resources and manpower. This whole season will only be looked at positive because of a D1 raid. I hate that I log in and need to run strikes/crucible/gambit without a slew of new weapons to chase in those activities. If you are going to force us into old activities the loot pools need updating/new perks added to weapons.

over all I feel this season seems to be pretty good so far. lots of new and returning weapons, VOG, a fun public activity for 6 man. outside of not being able to join people via Steam code to play stuff right now, I have no complaints yet.

btw, anyone know what those flowing white light/mist things are? the ones that flow/fly towards you after you killed something? it seems to appear no matter what weapon or subclass I use.

since everyone's talking about the new Hunter and Titan exotic legs, it's refreshing to see Fallout talking about the Warlock one and seems like it's actually better than a lot of people originally think it would be. and even more crazy when you pair it with Lumina. did the grind last night and took about 3 to 5 tries for each of them.

Ok i completely sat out last season but will probably get back into this one to play with my kiddo... what i've seen so far looks good so hoping i don't get completely bored with it right away like i did last season. To be honest i have largely been popping onto the season and grabbing the season exotic and then not playing till next season exotic is out. Used to play all the damn time but got bored w the same old grind finally.

the Hunter one seems to be godly and might dethrone Nighthawk as the Hunter burst dps exotic.




and the Titan one seems like it's more suited for PvP against Stasis but might be really good at it.

Enjoying the new stuff as a casual, weapons are fantastic (primary grenade launcher and void super fast pulse rifle are my new favs). The new cosmetic stuff is great (unless you need more then 10 things unlocked lol). Like the new event, with so many people don’t feel the need to run champion weapon/mods and with lower lvl bump already having fun instead of being frustrated.

Hope the story stuff lives up to last season, over all I’m extremely pleased. With work I missed all the down time so got lucky and been up any time I wanted to play.

I’m really glad they kept going with the elemental well concept this season. I love the idea of that mod type and I had fun experimenting with them last season. Now if only they’d fucking enable Bleak Watcher again. For fucks sake Bungie you disabled a major part of the subclass 13 days ago and haven’t even bother to communicate that you’re working on the issue you disabled it for.

Yeah I don't think the community realized how drastic the armor sets took when we went from D1 to D2. There would be tons I'd use this for in D1, in this game I couldn't find any piece that I cared enough about to bother the boring grind to get the materials. Every new season/dlc shows just how bad this series needs a FULL reset like we got with D2...you know, just good this time

Stochastic Variable was brought back this season. It was a yr2 SMG that was decent for its time.

grab the first bounty that gives the weekly weapon. find people on LFG or from your friend list to either try wining or suicide. you still get progress for that bounty no matter you win or lose. so just keep playing and you'll get the bounty done and get a weapon.

Oh I've given up. The first game of the passage, which should logically match you up with others at your skill level, is always literally teams with flawless emblems and flawless trials weapons etc.

Trials is in such a bad state that people just opt to jump off the map ten times for the bounty. And I don't blame them.

I got carried to one by two others in our clan a few weeks ago, and the first three matches were the sweatiest fucking things I’ve ever done. The 4 after that were nothing. It made 0 sense.

NTTE is actually pretty good so I won't say it's a waste of time. and now that they added the trace rifle mods, Cold Heart might be ok for boss/champion dps. so it's still useful.

I don't think that's true for all players. RNG rates seems to be account based, I had that mod on, played so many games that I even got Dredgen and nearly gilded it. I got two Bottom Dollar drops. Both bad rolls.

For the amount of games I played and won, including taking out the HVT many times, that's insane.

I did the Heroic one really under levelled. It was no issue at all. You can easily do it without dying 10 levels below what it requires.

The heroic simulation is 1320, so you’re quite a bit below it. Last seasons was 1310 for the heroic. The defend the platforms one is easily my least favorite.

I am loving the new season so far. Weapons are good.

But they could have made the new activity a little harder. Like really it is way too easy. They jammed 6 player in a 3 player activity.
Hope they bring new set variations of the jumping platforms inside the vex network every week.
