Does anyone know (approximately) how long the Alpha will last? Is it until the Beta starts?

the amount of people failing to read the information in this thread is astounding.
-If you signed up, you'll get in (maybe not in the first wave though)

Hm. I dunno. Why would people be excited to play a game they've been anticipating for a long time? A game for which they've been mostly starved for information and would thereby be satisfying the craving for new information by experiencing the alpha. A game that is still 3 months away from launch.

I'm excited too, but, considering how frantic everyone is, I thought'd it was a pretty long Alpha period.

I'm not saying there zero excitement for that. Its just not big as its used to be.
Though I will say that if any game that can make me buy an Xbone. It would be Halo 5. Provide it will be as good as Halo 3. If not better.

Is it just me or does Hardline just feel like a reskinned BF3/4? I got bored after a day of playing it. I'm hoping Destiny feels completely new in that regard.

It feels like a mod but it is dumb fun. I wouldn't pay full price for it though. Destiny's premise seems incredible I hope the alpha takes it to the next level.

Thanks for all the answers. I was on that website as soon as Hourse got the URL out - though it was down for a few minutes first - I'm hoping to get in though, as all those early impressions sound great.

Expansion Pack/DLC is right. I'm not paying full price for it either.
And yeah, I really love the whole premise of Destiny. I'm way more interested in the lore and the story they're going to tell than anything else. Halo is a goldmine of lore so I hope they manage to bottle lightning twice with this.
