Here's another thing. I signed my roommate's PSN up a few minutes after mine because he was too drunk to do it himself, and he got his code 10 minutes before I got mine.

Holy shit the email looks like a fucking amateur fishing scam or virus. Mine showed up as some .html attachment from a garbled 20-30 character alpha numerical address @email.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com. Almost deleted it, didn't dare touch that shit on my computers, had to go open it on a mobile.

Still haven't gotten an email but I did get a message via PSN that I am in. The only problem with getting in this way is that I can't set it to download while I am here at work since the link to the Beta is included in the message and the PSN app on my phone doesn't know what to do with it. But hey, at least I got in!

Let a coworker know about the alpha sign up, and he got his code before I did. Fucking sad right now
He meant trying to redeem different codes on PSN. They lock you out for 24 hours if you try too many without luck.
