My vanguard armory downloaded. The expansion packs won't download until they are released. At least if imagine that would be the case
 
Writing out my schedule for the week right now and damn, it's my busiest since this semester begun. Destiny gonna have to take a back seat this week unfortunately.
 
So, here's an idea:

What if there are Guardians that don't come back to life? Their Ghosts are destroyed, their connection to the Traveler severed, and they're left to wither away to dust.

And of the damaged ghosts, what if there are scavengers that make a profit by selling Ghost parts for weapons manufacturing and other such things?

And they don't care who they sell to.

Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what I should do for that story I want to write. Throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks, that sort of thing. But it's interesting, anyway, to see what everyone else would say.

. The other two are in the explore mode, one being in a cave in that canyon section and the other being out on the water by the coast.

Or what if someone could hack a Ghost so that it brought back a guardian as a slave for the hacker? It wouldn't take much to respawn someone with the free will part of their brain omitted.

I also wonder if Guardians would be like pilots from Eve Online. The Ghosts basically make respawning a real life ability for these guys. They are immortal. Death is totally meaningless.

There's fiction from the Eve/Dust universe where pilots who are basically in the same situation (clones) would go wild at parties by jumping off buildings and kill themselves in the streets just to keep from having to walk home.

I'm also thinking about doing some fan fiction based on Destiny. There's a lot to explore just in the new life of Guardians. In a way they are all slaves. Abide by the will of the traveller or cease to exist. Harsh terms.
 
It's gonna be a rough Tuesday at class but the reward of Destiny will just feel so good.

I wonder just how many people will be playing tomorrow?

I don't expect the game to be that long, there will be enough time to try all 3 out and determine who to "main" from there.

I just feel like its silly to be stressed over it, I could understand if there was only 1 character slot though.

That's a pretty cool concept to explore. I'd love to read whatever you got when it's good and ready.

What I'm trying to explore is more the concept of the "Permanent Death." Like, what would happen if a Ghost is no longer tied to its Guardian? If it still functions, what would it do when it no longer has a Guardian to watch over?

I'm kinda going in from the perspective of those Ghost dismantling smuggler-types. Young Awoken girl is scavenging a recent battle area for parts and finds a Ghost without a Guardian--that sort of thing. Lots of adventure.

Can't decide if I'm going to be a Sunsinger or a Gunslinger.

Sunsinger looks awesome, I love all of the fire abilities, but the Super is kinda boring.

Gunslinger's Golden Gun and Throwing Knives look fun as fuck for PvP though.

Headshot kills with the knife is the best feeling EVER. EVER.
 
I swear, there needs to be a WriterGAF because I want to share this Destiny fanfiction idea but I don't think it'd be wise to do it here, nor do I think it'd get the attention I'd want.

Conundrum, it is.
