I think we missed the opportunity to have another release thread like we did for HoW. That would have served as a prelude to a gaming side thread and made the transition easier.

We can all use a header when looking for a group. Like that we can seperate our demands from our desires and side conversations. Like on the OT's .

lol that's why I wanted to count up the threads, but I'm going to put that on the backburner for now. Most of the thread's posts are General Discussion, followed by Off topic and LFG. It varies by day obviously because you'll see more off topic posts on the off-days and more LFG posts on the reset days.

Brief History
Off in Mars, a war is brewing between the cyborg Vex and the highly militarized Cabal.

It's weird to think that the Vex are cyborgs. While Bungie has confirmed that they are part organic and machine, I always thought that a cyborg used to be all organic, but then added machine later. Transforming themselves in the process to a cyborg. I think maybe it is more precise to call them Bionics. Has Bungie ever called them cyborgs?

Ultimately, they just look like robots. I know bungie has said they have organic parts but you can't see those parts. So they are 90%+ synthetic which to me doesn't equate cyborg.

At the beginning of June, Nghtly called a "clan meeting" (i detest these by the way) to ask everyone in the group how serious they were about the clan. He wanted it to be a "brand" as opposed to a "Destiny clan" and wanted everybody to start generating content. He said "we might have to start making some cuts" for people who weren't active enough (which is fair), but he assured everyone that there wouldn't be any bad blood about it.

That's obviously not what happened. It feels like they're letting the popularity get to them and ostracizing anyone else.

I left because I was unable to make the time commitment.

I more or less got Catfanone into the Devils and he blocked me after I left the clan.

Flylo said he just wanted to play the game after work competitively and wasn't interested in making it his life. He was booted after I left.

I think Moon and Matty are still members. They're still listed on Nghtly's Twitch, so it's possible he either hasn't added them to the site yet, or hasn't removed them from Twitch. I'd probably go with the former, although they weren't as active so I wouldn't rule out the latter.

I don't join clans because I'm not interested in unnecessary video game drama. I was under impression that they were straight forward guys, but they've all basically avoided me the last few months, so I wouldn't be surprised if others were kicked or decided to leave. There's nothing worse than passive aggressive bullshit.

I used to play it.
Vanilla game was more or less the same as ive head about Destiny, forever 29 or whatever.
Massive grind with little to no profit.

First expansion made the series godlike in my eyes, and since then its slowly declined.

I'm happy i got to experience it, but at the same time it killed every other MMO for me since.

The stomach is where they are located in high numbers.
They tend to explode into white liquid when you shoot them there.
Problem is, how did they get the machine bodies in the first place then?
They built their own bodies to fight for what they believe in.
For the most part, the Vex are one huge hive mind that can all see what each other are doing.
They are still organic, but are pretty much like nano organisms that work together to think and make things.
Using a word that still means cyborg, just another subset is a little strange for people that don't know what it means, and cyborg is universally understood.

Basically, its hard to know what to call them, I don't know if cyborg is the most accurate or not, but god, nothing really makes sense if you really dive into their lore.

There's 3 weeks between now and TTK and we're most likely going to run through OT29 before the 15th. Nghtly used to average about 40-50 viewers and at least 15 were dgaf because of you. That was a pretty sizable percentage. At times it even went to mid 30s and we were about a third or up to half of his viewers.

Vault of Glass consisted of rescuing Kabr and fighting along side him against Atheon, he would then sacrifice himself and forge Aegis Shield, allowing your team to finish off Atheon. But after the rework of the story of the game, this was scrapped and made into a Grimoire instead.

This game would benefit so much from some A.I. joining you on missions/raids/P.E.s...

Before the rework of Destiny, Guardians had AI followers to choose from. Companions to aid you in battle. The Exo stranger, Crow, and rougue Guardians were part of the roster of companions who tagged along during missions and arena battles on the reef. Kinda how the Arbiter and SGT Johnson helped you back in Halo 3, but with improved mechanics and AI of course. But unfortunately, this was scrapped and fireteams were introduced. Still prefer AI companions... they don't go AFK during a match.

How awesome would it be if each of the Vanguard would show up in a mission and show off the new Subclass powers you're to gain in TTK? Such a wasted opportunity.

I'm in the same position. I started the game with my Hunter but switched to the Titan class and haven't been able to adjust back. I might start back off with my Hunter to stay true to my roots.

For what I am doing, I chose to focus more on the general information and not deep stuff like that. I don't want to make these super long.
The Fallen one would be extremely long. I had to stop myself from going into great detail about all the battles between the Fallen and the Vanguard.

Hope we can all play without the mad pressure cooker stuff. Taeshi was upset that he was missing shots and losing rounds, TG had his reasons too, I just hope we can keep it together without throwing unnecessary burdens on people.

Taeshi is fun to play with. His comments are hilarious and he's loose and very cool.

When TG starts with his voices I lose it. We were losing in crucible one night but he was dominating as usual and we were cracking up doing Yoda and Arnold play by play.

I love that! "Winning" can be having fun with friends. Heck, it should be.
