Anyone running normal KF tonight?

Would really love to take my son through his first kings fall since he got straight A's and told him he'd earned a raid run.

blame the gametype, not the gun. sniper rifles will always be king in elimination gametypes

Ran into first three sunbreakers team. Of course the only way they won was because of it. They are actual scrubs without it.

Trials felt very off to me today as well. Maybe it's the meta, maybe it's the map, maybe the shine has just worn off after so many matches during HoW.

Even the match when we came back to win from down 0-4 wasn't that exciting. Just wasn't hyped.

Lol most likely. That's the big issue with Mercury right now: the only differences for the primaries are they drop from 310-320 and have Last Resort as a bonus perk (whoopity-doo!).

None of the primaries seem very compelling and Last Resort isn't exactly a game changer. Auto is minimum impact, maximum bullet hose. Pulse is same archetype as Nerwin's Mercy. Hand cannon is... a hand cannon. The scout is definitely legit but it drops for seven wins this week so just grab it on all 3 characters for a better chance at the variable perk you want (Hidden Hand seems best, but Outlaw and Zen Moment are good too).

The most interesting loot I got was a 315 Young Ahamkara Spine exotic gauntlets. Which apparently means they've added RNG to exotic LL now instead of just dropping at 320. Meh.

The campaign was amazing. But it was a one-time thing. I'm not gonna get hyped about Regicide ever again. It was amazing, but it doesn't really affect the endgame.

The endgame is now one of constant grind and stuttering progression and PvP broken by supers, messed up incentives via quests and thus quitters, and zero progression potential. The Raid is cool, but lacks the aspirational quality. In the jump to Y2, tons of content we used to play was made irrelevant: Nightfalls, VoG, CE, PoE. The weapon balancing made ARs better but they're still not optimal basically anywhere. And HCs are definitely not optimal anywhere. So I suppose it depends on what it is you play the game for.

I don't yearn for HoW because of a specific piece of content added that I liked. There was a mediocre arena (with my favorite boss in the game though) and literally a single Strike. Consuming the content initially was far less satisfying that the TTK campaign and post-campaign was. But once you're done with the checklist and just playing for fun - where we spend the months after the initial weeks? It shone. Everything was viable, you could progress anywhere. It was beautiful.

But I am well aware this is very much a matter of opinion and perspective. I posted some of these thoughts on Reddit. I have posts literally deleted to down votes and other where I've been given Gold and hundreds of ups. What the fuck Reddit Gold is remains a mystery to me btw. It's a weird place.

You've summarized my feelings on this expansion perfectly. I miss HoW as well.

What pisses me off the most is that they left guns broken for months upon months (mythoclast being destroyed by the fusion rifle nerfs and don't get me started on the necrochasm). I used them anyways in strikes for fun. But man... Why did they hold the fixes for them until they were left behind?

So I bought 50 3oC in hopes that I would get Hawkmoon and the first exotic that dropped ended up being Hawkmoon. Hopefully, these 47 other 3oC will be worth something.

Finally getting Hawkmoon takes this huge weight off of my shoulders. Unfortunately, it was after the hand cannon nerf that bungie implemented.

I'm debating whether I should even try Trials.

Bogues post makes me want to skip it and go play some halo. I'm disappointed the armor looks the same ._.

Might be offtopic but considering how that Destiny wont have an expansion out over the next few months and I'll eventually get bored of the current contet, what game do I get. Black Ops 3 or Battlefront?

So, I have both pre-ordered, but I think BO3 is going to get a lot of time depending on how good Zombies is.
