So whilst the art direction and quality of assets may be similar to the memoria project I doubt it's going to be to that scale as that slither was!

I'm imagining a game that looks beautiful and is fantastic from a technical/art style/gameplay perspective…… but now the dialog is all fully voiced and every conversation is like 3x as long as it needs to be, with crappy anime voices and awkward pauses at the end of every line.

Have to imagine this will at least be a PS5 & Switch 2 Day 1 game, with Steam & EGS versions maybe 3-6 months later. Then maybe some Game Pass deal a year or so after all that.
Probably gonna release it in 2025. I think it's good Square-Enix are focusing on more modest updates like 9R, hopefully they look at some of the others and even outside of FF (Racing Lagoon & Brave Fencer Musashi for example).

Might be announced at TGS though.
Wouldn't be surprised if at Xbox conference and to be released everywhere at the same time.

While I do love the Memoria FFIX fan video a lot. I also hope the final product will have more of the Jim Henson element that the original FFIX got. FFIX always got some of that Labyrinth and Dark Crystal element from Jim Henson.
