Not a fan. I guess it'll hide behind my center anyway.
I am saying, there is a less than 10% chance any thing has changed. As far as I know, Gopher is baiting you all by making me a BBQ bird.
i think this will be better:We have some sort of measurments now? I guess I'll have to do a new one then.

not a fan of external power, but it will keep a big source of heat out of the machine and makes practical sense.

So no more rumours abut the dimensions?
Glad the dimensions are wrong. They didn't add up and I can go back to looking forward to something like this.We have some sort of measurments now? I guess I'll have to do a new one then.
Well shiiiiit. Who's your source?

Just the dimensions, if you go the previous pages, I mentioned the source is different for this particular piece of information. I was hesitant on posting it, but I <3 this community and wanted to keep everyone in the loop.

are these images based on any information, or just pure speculation?
Those measurements were obviously bullcrap. Just forget about it.![]()
This. No need to beat yourself up over it, thuway.

The console is going to be revealed next week.
Yea, I do remember them making some slight changes to the Vita since the Playstation Meeting that year. So everything we see might not be so final.
IIRC for both the PS3 and the Vita the overall design didn't really change notably. The PS3 dropped some USB ports, some Ethernet ports and an HDMI port but aside form that I think was the same as the unit was when first shown off.
The Vita had some minor aesthetic changes but the unit as shown and the one on store shelves could easily be mistaken for one another unless you knew they were different.
I expect to see the hardware on the 20th, and I expect the overall design to remain the same.

@superDaE do you know whether Durango will allow used games?

@hlm2nd Always online is not mentioned at all as of current. Its something Sony has actually talked about internally however.
Disturbing news? (Posted in the Kotaku thread)
New Twitter post...

To which SuperDaE replies:
@angelodau @superMTW @adeshina365 @Ballmer My opinion is, look at Sony's record, its horrible. Buy a Durango and you won't end up with crap.
lol you need to quit listening to him.
But what if he isn't trolling with that comment?

He is.
Trust me on this one.
You've really bought into that guy for some reason.
Doesn't mean Sony won't block used games too, but the odds of Sony blocking used games and Microsoft not doing it? I'd say there is no chance of that. Microsoft is the company who has consistently shown an anti consumer attitude for years and years.
Mods closing a thread with his tweets, and insiders here saying he's full of shit is enough for me to not care.
He is.
Trust me on this one.
Yup. Hilarious that Kotaku fell for it.

What does that have to do with media?
360 OS was better than ps3 OS, but it sucked as a media player. Because MS doesn't care about that part. Their aim is to integrate Windows and MS marketplace into all their products, not to create the best media player.
If 720 has 3GB for OS, I can think of a good reason. Because it's running fucking Windows, which needs a lot of RAM to run smoothly.
Pachter said that the reason Microsoft are showing their console way after Sony's is so they can modify their specs/console accordingly.
Could Microsoft alter the 'rumoured' specs of Durango this late? I'm quite curious as to how easily one can simply improve the RAM, CPU or GPU?

Yep I don't believe they're going to have 3GB or RAM unavailable for games in the final version. They aren't going to literally put Windows 8 on it... They are going to put a specialized build of Windows. Ever heard of Windows Phones. They run a specialized build of Windows that use as little as 512MB - 1 GB and is very smooth.
If anything they would be running a special build of Windows so that maybe the next Xbox could runs Apps and Arcade games that could easily work on all MS devices. It would be cool if Xbox arcade games worked on the PC/tablets/phones as well. If Durango uses a build of Windows this might be possible.
I also bet that Skype will replace Xbox Live Chat as the default way to chat. I think the main reason though to reserve more space and use Windows is because it offers them more flexibility in the future to react and change the OS. I think they were limited in what they could do this gen.
When announced the PS3 had a Batarang as controller. Unless there is universal acclaim (won't happen due to the mandatory fanboy trolling) the design shown the 20th won't be 100% final.IIRC for both the PS3 and the Vita the overall design didn't really change notably. I think they are going to reveal basic info too, but maybe won't detail specially in the places they can tweak it depending on Durango's data to be announced.I don't think Sony will be unveiling the actual specs of the console. Just the console itself and games.
Plenty of people have said not really outside of clock speeds and stuff.
