From the streams I watched the game looks amazing. It's funny how some people are excited about others eating crow etc, as if we, the 'haters', actually wanted it to be bad. I've been waiting for this for years, it's part of my past's nostalgia, I hope we were wrong and got trolled by those close up screenshots.

The music is Diablo-ish, the atmosphere seems moody and dark, the narration is great, enemies look and act as they should. Thank you to anyone posting streams. Between this and Dota 2 I fear for my life..

I'm still not excited about the little floating pills you collect for life, but I guess I'll learn to live with that.

Question: After all, are there skills that are designed for kb+mouse and would be cumbersome with a controller? Is there precision required targeting etc, or is it all directional pointing 'accessible-ness'?

Heh, after watching some of the different streams I really would like to see some of the earlier haters come on here and tell us this still is too colorful and not creepy.
So far even though there's mostly low quality footage around, this game just seeps with quality, the lighting and voice acting especially are terrific... (also the physics look really well done as well)

Meh, I think I can watch a stream then. Its only a small portion of the game, maybe less than a demo.

Hopefully a mid December release happens. There is a scent of LAN in the air

The game, not the graphics I don't know exactly why, but while the graphics are certainly not technically impressive, the ambiance in act I with the music, lighting, shadows etc is great. At least for me, perhaps I'm just too starved for anything Diablo.

edit : nice it seems they took the suggestions to heart and created a sense of symmetry in the equip menu. Or maybe I'm just blind.

Well I think the skill he's using is called hungering arrow;

From the Diablo wiki:

Hungering Arrow is a Demon Hunter skill unlocked at level 1. It fires a guided arrow with bonus damage and a chance to pierce the target.

Maybe the area marker designates the maximum guide distance of that arrow, so it will only pick up a target that is within that area.. (only thing I can think of at the moment)

I think the thing is, that for high you will need DX11 or a good DX10 card. Otherwise you will fall into medium even if your card is good.

There is still a wide gap between medium with bells and whistles at 60fps and barely medium at barely 30fps

Also this list seems to be an indication only, but I bet its pretty accurate.

But Blizzard doesn't do DX10/11 If you haven't seen yet the graphics are low-poly because they want to appeal low-tech. And for fidelity I see in beta feeds and compare to SC2, even that game looks better.

Unless, they use all memory for dat lighting.

There are also companion scrolls that you can use to summon a critter that follows you around for a few minutes and collects all the gold for you so you don't even have to run over it.

Plus, all loot is unique to you so ninja looting is not possible.
