Diablo II Resurrected Has Online Check-in DRM

Its on console too. Just goes to show having a physical copy doesn't mean shit about truly owning it.

It's been like that so I don't know why it would be different with Diablo 2. I think with SC2, you can't play offline at all.

on PC that is normal because on PC users bend over and let cooperations take them from behind with a spiked dildo a long time ago
but on console that is still a big no go

On PC we know that the problem will be resolved by ourselves as its not a closed platform...

Of course if the game actually requires connection to a server to play it gets a bit complicated but you should be familier enough with MMO private servers to know that dousent really stop us.

Of course it requires the game to be worth saving, Starcraft 2 never will be.

Fuck them, I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on this shite. I didn't like where things were going since this was announced, and this DRM is just icing on an already garbage-tier Activision-Blizzard offering. Not that it matters, I don't buy anything put out by hacks anymore, which admittedly leaves very little worthwhile companies to support, who are mainly located outside of the US.

The whole thing is sad actually, gaming keeps slipping further down into the sewer. At least I still have FromSoftware :-)

still enough people just buy shit on Steam due to it being on Steam, even if there is a completely DRM free version on GoG at the same price... that shit will never stop to amaze me.

I will always get the GOG version when available. I am disappointed in Sony since they stopped putting their games there after HZD.

It's not for most. It's only a big deal for people who still hold on to physical mediums.
It's not only about the physical releases. GOG built their entire store around offering DRM-free games. Unfortunately a lot of people don't care or don't understand the idea behind game preservation.
