Diablo IV |OT| Blessed Mother... Save Us

I personally wouldn't mind spending some money on cosmetic items in D4 if Blizzard gave them the PoE treatment with some cool additional effects. Maybe they can have regular outfit contests like in Lost Ark where players can submit their creations to have a chance of winning and having their work make it into the game. This would also help give talented artists some public exposure. Now, I understand some people aren't ecstatic about the addition of cosmetic microtransactions in D4, however, I've played Lost Ark and Black Desert Online and cosmetic items aren't a concern to me. But if players in the future can swipe to gain even just a slight progression advantage, that's when we'll have a real fucking problem.

They may have to resort to that and it's going to be gross imo. I don't want a bunch of dudes running around town on fire, glowing, or having wings. I don't think it fits with the new aesthetic but to each their own.

I agree, I don't think added character effects should be overwhelming or over the top, perhaps just some slightly glowing or shifting body/face tattoos or similar. It'd be nice to have some cool weapon effects and more skins. There's a sword in the game that looks like a spine and I think it'd look neat if we were able to add a highlight effect so it's as though the veins and arteries are visible.

For just leveling Im loving it. Im pretty much full werewolf/poison except I have trample (its insane) and i use the werebear howl for healing/debuff instead of bloodhowl.

So Im running:

- Claw
- Shred
- Debilitating Roar
- Rabies
- Trample
- Lacerate

Then I take any side skill that buffs poison cause most werewolf abilities apply it and also crit chance/damage

Its a ton of fun and powerful for leveling, but granted Im only level 40 with it so no clue how good it actually is for end game. But Im having no issue leveling with it, you can clear big packs pretty quick. You do need to be cognizant of dodging big hits its a little bit squishy but you could probably test swapping debilitating roar with bloodhowl if its an issue.

Charge in with Trample then start going nuts shredding everything and applying poison. Use debilitating roar as soon as i start taking damage and then trample whenever its up into any mobs that are by terrain for the bonus impact.

You feel like wild animal going nuts its pretty fun haha.

Think i'm gonna go this route. I just started out with claw, can you still use your human melee weapon? Seems I have to use claw or the human melee.

Played for about 3 hours. No queue and not a single hiccup while playing. Neat. (I'm in Brasil).

Also, can someone tell me what's the advantage of being part of a clan (you know, like the neogaf one)?

Probably negative, that guy is stuck in Diablo 2 for the rest of his life

He hasn't been too bad so far. I mean, rating the campaign when he skips all dialogues is a little laughable but he gave gameplay, pvp, and the cinematics a 9/10(would have been 10/10 but he missed the ability to rewatch them when you want). I'm only 18 minutes in so far, will edit this post.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Just started up, played for 5 minutes, then got knocked out

Yep, this is a Diablo launch day

Also Rentahamster Rentahamster I sent a request to join the GAF guild

Nice! I think you'll like it, its fun. You could also run the wolf companions skill so you have two wolf sidekicks on your side which is cool for the king of wolves feeling haha. But you'd have to give up your defensive or trample or something. But play around with it you'll find your groove.

Claw will take over for your melee attack, you'll still have a weapon equipped for the stats but when you attack it automatically switches to the werewolf. Your main attacks will be clawing and shredding, with the other stuff mixed in when its off CD or as needed

Nowhere near as good as D3. All the cool looking gear is behind a paywall. They waited until the game went live before stuffing the in game store with the cool looking shit. Scummy.

Lol my man there is tons of amazing looking gear in this game thats not locked in the store. I mean I guess ultimately its subjective but I think my barb right now looks better than anything in the store and Im not even tricked out in legendries yet.

Where is this good looking gear? I WANT to buy it…but so far for me (end game grind) the in game looks are WAY better than the ones you can buy.

Seem stuck in a loop of queued for game, trying to start game and returning to queue. One more loop and I'm out. Shit working was nice while it lasted I suppose.

Blew off work last Friday and now am paying the price trying to catch up. Logging in and will get you added at some point. Thanks for hopping in the clan pool…water is great, people are fun to play with, and there is zero BS to deal with. So far the group has just been arpg hardcore players who are down to help out folks and have a good time. Rentahamster Rentahamster is already 70+ Antwix Antwix is up there as well...both great resources and have run through most of the content at this point and are good resources for in game help/tips/carries.

How do you do split screen coop? Must i do anything beside creating my character?

Also 14 minute queue... pain
The second controller also has to have a battle.net. When the servers are slammed it can take a few to several minutes for player 2 to show up.

A few tips here: Sleepwalker Sleepwalker

If you are staring a NEW co-op game with both characters just make sure you wait to complete the into quests for the main hub town. You will be directed to go buy a weapon for a character.

If you do this quest and grab the waypoint in town BEFORE the other level 1 player joins your game in couch co-op you can lock them OUT of access to the Waypoint feature. This is a HUGE pain in the ass. Just WAIT until they can get logged in and catch up with you before completing that quest.

Just beat Act II, I think the most surprising part of the game for me so far is how much better the story telling is. While it's pretty simple,
Donan and his son's
story is already more memorable than anything in 3. I put hundreds of hours into Diablo 3 but I couldn't tell you the first thing about what went on in the game plot-wise.

Who is rushing the main story and who is taking time to do everything?
I've heard that it's best to get through the campaign and save the side stuff for later. After level 50, the mobs stop scaling so you won't be getting much XP for T1 and T2 and you can't move on to T3 until the campaign is done.

Taking my sweet time. This game has to last for years to come.

Just create your character, enter game and then ask the second player to join by pressing options. He/she will log in with battle.net accound and select a character (or, probably create some). Then you both will be at the same world. Have in mind that the same player should host everytime, otherwise you two will be playing at different places everytime you resume a game.

I would suggest forming parties via the clan to find the altars. One person can do all the navigating while the rest follow and kill stuff along the way. A lot more efficient that way. Use one of the online maps to see where all the altars are. If you're sensitive to map spoilers, then have someone who doesn't care be the navigator.

I was just doing the Helltide event a few minutes ago and unlocked a chest that dropped my first sacred legendary. As I tried to click and claim it, my internet took a dump and I got kicked out. I was super pissed but when I was able to log back in, my stash was blinking and I was able to still claim it as a lost item. That is pretty cool!

Had a few hours with this, I can definitely tell this is going to be my jam for a while. Joined the GAF guild, but I don't know what that does for me exactly except getting to lurk on everyone here.

Playing on a hotspot at work and wow does it run well. Better than D3 did on my hotspot. Zero lag.

So achievments do not track when playing the PC version. I just got my first one so it's like I never played the game until now as far as the Xbox is concerned. Feels bad mayne.

Oh lord, I accidentally just purchased some garbage weapon for like almost 300K from a weapons vendor. I must have hit A twice after the game stuttered a bit when I was accessing the vendor, next thing I know, I'm the owner of some expensive garbage and out a bunch of gold. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to make that back, but still...bastard.

I heard that lowering Textures from Ultra to High, removes the stutter.

I have a friend with a 4070ti who had to do that. It was practically unplayable and now it's fine. I have the same GPU but a better CPU and I have no issues with ultra textures.

Playing a rogue so far in the early game, is there a way to not be out of energy after 3 shots? Ranged rogue is kind of awful when I can only shoot 3 times and then I'm forced to kite around and try not to die while waiting to shot 3 times again.

The first boss of the game, the one where you fight Neyrelle's Mom, was annoying because of this. I wonder if melee rogue is any more playable than this.
