I just came across the movie poster of Bollywood movie from August 2019 called "MISSION MANGAL" (Missions Mars) based on Indian Space Research Organisation's attempt to go to Mars

And here is Starfield's box art, which if i am not wrong was most certainly released after 2020.

What do you guys think?

It’s definitely close. I could see the Mission Mangal poster being used as one of several images for an inspiration board used by the Starfield marketing team.

That's just a common poster archetype. I bet there are thousands like it.

I doubt it, the design is nothing that special it is just heads turning to a different direction

To me the resemblance is uncanny and I don't think it is mere coincidence. At first I thought Mission Mangal movie poster was inspired by Starfield's boxart but as it turns out Mission Mangal came out way before that keyart of Starfield was first unveiled.

There is a Bethesda employee in twitter who occasionally reposts Bollywood/South Indian trailers and seemed to be a fan. Can someone find that employee, I forgot his handle? I don't think he was Indian.

I Don't think so, but the poster is so generic it could easily be a coincidence.

It's just the generic face montage style. They've ruined so much movie artwork by using this crap when they release on 4kUHD instead of the original poster artwork.
