"We have some cool stuff coming, including free updates and features that players have been asking for, as well as a new DLC story," he says.

"I can't go into all the details just yet, but I will say, part of the team has been focused on space gameplay to make the travels there more rewarding. We're also adding some new game systems and a few other smaller delights."

It's not too surprising that a second DLC expansion is in development executive producer Todd Howard previously indicated the plan was for more than one expansion — but it's still nice to have confirmation this DLC is still underway.

In a more serious note, the game was such a disappointment for me, what a boring and uninspired game man, the dialogues, the writing, it seems like they were made by Disney. Terrible all around

That's what bothered me the most. A new IP, they had complete freedom and managed to create the most bland and boring setting and story imaginable. Add all the other issues to it and you have one of the biggest disappointments in the last 10 years.

I did play and beat the story at launch (yes really... bout 50 hours)

Was it amazing? No
Was it awful? No
Was it No Man's Sky type traversal and exploration? No
Did I die IRL? No

I had a decent time and story was ok and fun side stuff in moments

I likely wont play it again unless something wild and insane comes to improve it

I could have done Starfield if it weren't for the loading screens and the menus, even if they did the whole "hidden loading screens" thing with a warp drive effect around your ship when jumping between planets I would much prefer that. There were just so many seams.

I'm sure they will be great.

I really do not understand this. These gamers bitch about Starfield because it is empty worlds with cut and paste content. Then this DLC provides a hand crafted world with tons of unique buildings and areas to explore. They bitch about it. After playing the main game 3 times now and the DLC once, I get the sense that a whole different team did the DLC without the watchful eye of the main game director, so they had more freedom to make what they wanted. I felt the DLC was well done and very enjoyable. It is sad that it took a year for the game to get the DLC and much needed updates. I am looking forward to the new DLC and apparently I cannot trust the Steam reviews of it.

This is gonna take Starfield from 7/10 to 7.1/10 for sure.
A 7/10 would indicate that it's a good game though. I thought Starfield at launch was a little below average. It does absolutely nothing special, in fact from what I remember most of its systems have been done better in other older titles. In addition it was buggy, not optimised and hardly a looker which made things worse.

Edit: Just to say that I genuinely hope that future updates make this a game I reinstall and enjoy, because I was chomping at the fucking bit to play this and even bought the premium edition.
