Did you enjoy Sin City: A Dame to Kill For?

I enjoyed it a lot because I'm such a fan of Sin City but it doesn't break any new ground in the series.

In retrospect they should have just replaced Dwight with a different character, rather than recasting Clive Owen.

Shoehorning Marv into every single story was not great, especially if he's just going to be somebody's sidekick in all of them.

I honestly thought it was alright, nowhere near as good as the first (which still holds up wonderfully today, saw it not too long ago), and the new stuff just kinda sucks.

I have this theory that the Frank Miller of today is actually an alien inhabiting the body of Frank Miller while the real one is off somewhere being experimented on by otherworldly beings. This makes a lot more sense to me than the idea that the man what wrote Ronin, DKR, Batman: Year One, some of the best Daredevil out there, the original Sin City stories, and 300 also wrote Spirit, Holy Terror, DKR 2/3, and the stuff from the new Sin City movie.

No Clive Owen after the face swap really threw me off, no Michael Clarke Duncan (RIP), and no Devon Aoki also didn't help. It was fine, but they waited way too long to make it.

Huh, this was my most awaited movie for a long time, since I loved the first one. But eventually my interest started to wane, because the sequel took so long. And when the reviews hit, I didn't want to even see it anymore.

Maybe I should see it for Eva Green, seems like people are praising her perfomance in this too.

No I did not like it and replacing Dwaight was a mistake, I like Brolin but he was a stepdown from Owen.

not really.

It's too similar to the first movie. I got halfway through it and was just calling out the beats, and sure enough, moment after moment, they all predictably unfurled.

That movie didn't need a sequel.

I dunno -- I thought Owen's segment in the original was probably the weakest of all the stories. Whatever problems I would have had with A Dame to Kill For probably would not have been solved by his inclusion.
