RoboCop Rogue City is worth the sale price this weekend | $13.99 on Xbox (Alex Murphy Edition), $9.99 on Steam

lol that was fun. This is pretty much what game needed to be 10 hours was just right. Just running around and shooting stuff. I ended up going through the main story mostly but cool that they had the optional side stuff. The team seemed to get the premise of the movies spot on. True to the series in about every way. Bravo!

I don't know if this is some sort of regional pricing but Robertcop is costing 5 dollars in my Steam, which is basically stealing Nacon.

I'll buy that for a dollar (plus another 4 dollars)

Picked Robo up on PS5 and Terminator on Series X. Gonna play both this summer after I finish XBX, MHW, and KCD2

Okay, bought it. Alex Murphy edition was only 2 dollars more, so whatever got that. May or may not try it imminently, but either way it's acquired. I think back to how much I enjoyed Alien Isolation and how accurate it felt to the property, though I'm not a huge fan of Robocop, I hope the same for this above all else.

Robocop Rogue City is a very good game. The atmosphere of the Robocop film is perfectly captured and the gameplay is also excellent. The combat in this game reminds me a bit of arcade shooters, and that's a good thing. Robocop is also a UE5 showcase (the game use all UE5 features: nanite, lumen and even VSM). Not many UE5 games impressed me that much with the graphics and performance was also amazing for the most part (there was one memory leak and performance droped to 13fps and I had to restart the game to fix it) and I did not see any stuttering. On the RTX4080S I had about 90-110fps at 1440p DLAA and 160fps with FGx2. I wish every UE5 game would run like that.

I recommend turining on VSYNC in NVCP and limit framerate with riva tuner using "reflex" limited instead of "async". Old DLSS FG with VSYNC was not recommended, but the latest version (transformer - running fully on tensor cores) dont have this problem, and by limiting the framerate with riva tuner you can get perfect frame delivery and responsivenes this way. With this metod I could feel any difference between real 160fps and generated 160fps.

Hmm .... I bought this 3 months ago but never launched it. I'm about convinced now after reading all of this to give it a shot.
Wow do I ever regret letting this sit in my backlog for so long. I ended up playing it and loving it. Beat it twice actually. New game plus gives you the overpowered board for your gun with infinite ammo and no reloads and I was just wrecking shit like crazy. Popping heads like watermelons, busting through walls and doors, punching people clear accross the map... it really does feel like you are a walking indestructible tank. It was so good, and the graphics, sound, and music were all top notch. The only thing I didn't like was how loud the footsteps were and thankfully there is an option to turn that down. 8.5/10 for me.

I grabbed it on Steam. I really like it but i'm having a freezing issue on the first streets level. Every once in a while the screen will freeze but i still have sound.

I'm probably about halfway through and it's an okay game. Pretty with decent combat but nothing special in terms of gameplay or design.

It is very faithful and respectful of the source material so I can see the appeal. If The Last Ronin game comes out this good I'll definitely be praising it.

I've been enjoying the game but on base PS5 it has some serious frame rate problems.

the junkyard with the snipers and ED-209 were horrible. Pretty much unplayable. I had to run through the section

I'd pay $10 for an arcade mode that skips all the police station levels. No idea why they thought those were a good idea. All it does is destroy pacing and take the wind out of your sails which playing. It's really gonna hurt the long term replay value. Game would be perfect for bite sized sessions of just picking a combat level and getting your dick shooting fix for 20 minutes.

Played for a while but got to one of the more open levels and its a painful stutterfest.

2080S and Ryzen 5600X and it cant even run at 1080p medium

No amount of settings tweaking would fix it. Decent enough game when its functioning but not worth wasting my time trying to troubleshoot it.

Their Terminator game from a few years ago was a lot better than this.

That's a huge chunk of the game. It's like 1/3 walking sim and the gameplay is really limited. I don't think it would have any more replay value if it was just the shooter parts. The street walking sections were more interesting than the police station though. I'll give you that.

I just got it the other day for $7.99(or was it $6.99) on the Xbox store. The Alex Murphy edition. Is this a faithful telling of the first movie or a completely new story?

Idk I felt stiff and slow in this game. Played for free on PS Plus. Got the trophy for shooting a guy in the dick and felt good enough on my time with it.

Felt it looked really good. Awesome water reflections.

Takes place between Robocop 2 and 3.

Currently on sale over on Fanatical. Trying not to shill for them but you can get the game for $7.50 but need to buy two games to qualify for the bundle.

Yeah the SX version is not locked 100% all the time, but it sure as shit runs a lot better than the PS5 version.

If this company continue to do these 80s/90s franchise games similar to the Terminator and Robocop games they did than I hope the next ones would be

Species
The Thing
Screamers
Trancers
Leprechaun

I have good news for you, at least one of those already exists and recently got a remaster.

PC version's on sale for less than $4 at the moment.

Pretty much confirms it'll be in next month's Humble Choice, probably as the headliner

Yeah, this game was awesome. Reminds me of the Batman: Arkham games where the game and gameplay are very much built around embodying the character you're playing as. Compared to other licensed IP games where any number of protagonists could be switched in/out because it's "generic third-person shooter" or whatever.
