Actually am pretty certain they will bring it to the West. Once the Digimon Adventure Tri anime hits and gets localized for the West too, that would be their "drop point" for announcing the title. On top of BanNam has been a lot more aggressive with releasing their titles in SE Asia + West.
God Eater 2: Rage Burst am certain will be the same too with the upcoming Anime to start the hype going.

I like Hagurumon and Guardromon but I'm not a fan of Andromon. If I knew what evolution options for him were in this game (sometimes he gets pretty badass evolutions), he'd be my pick.

Btw Stuart4444 you might want to add those shops to the OT so folks have links to go to for importing. They are just standard non-monetized links so there is no worries with using them. Exact same ones I use in my OTs. I personally do not link folks to play-asia anymore due to constant issues GAF members have been having with them lately. Though for folks that want an "Asian" version they will have to use them or either Yes Asia.

Really loving the look of the game so far. Masafumi beats are great. Game feel is good. This is gonna be a fun one.

Am currently keeping amused leveling up my current squad while others are busy at the farm due to the memory capacity limits. Then evolve, evolve, evolve lol
the first boss is so gonna get roflstomped due to me being overleveled~

Yep element types are in there too. Can only imagine what happens if you get double whacked with type + element damage. When you take damage to your weakness it also it will show a multiplier showing how much more you had taken
bit hard to tell considering only had a few hours in, but at least its not shit and the characters are good. seems quite cool though with the setting.

Only 1.5gb?? That's pretty damn small for such a good looking game (with 240 different monsters too). I know it's too early for anyone to tell, but I hope there's a good amount of content packed in there.

Will I be able to play this or should I watch for the localization?

I don't know much about digimon(more than it's a show that my brothers used to watch when they were younger) so the setting and art direction is the part of the game that got me interested. I have read that this game is for the people that grew up with digimon and that makes me draw the conclusion that this game is for younger adults rather than a game for kids. Would you say that is true and if so does it go deeper than the addition of fan service?

Those two characters was the exact reason to why I was asking if the game is more "mature" if you don't count the fan service.
As in deeper on a character or story level or if it's the same old shonen recipe (the fascination of the female body and a blank slate MC that could be "you"

i do think there is a high possibility for localization when the new anime hits. though till then importing will be up to you.
id say its possible to play without japanese but with a lot of the features will help if you can read or at least have a guide. also depends on how adapt one is with playing import games as everyone is different.

This game looks pretty good with decent character designs (a little too fanservicey though). This game is another reason I'm want a Vita. If it was localized, I would definitely get it.

Thanks for the help. I just ordered my copy, since I can probably translate anything I need to online, and the rest can just be trial and error. I've played enough import games over the years where memorizing menu layouts isn't that hard. Also Black Gabumon.

one thing for sure is evolving your digimon is pretty fast though seeing some requirements for wha you can evolve into has ne thinking most def there will be a lot to do and learn with this system

Added a "Where to Buy?" section to the Op. I have also added YesAsia to the list and took out amiami as amiami has it listed as sold out and they usually don't get second shipments in (aka it's much more of a pre-order shop than a buy after the fact shop lol)
