Dipping down into the 30's in FL tonight. How cold is it where you are? Do you like cold weather?

Its been pretty mild here in London UK but I did a early morning workout in the local park on Friday morning (Calisthenics on bars) and there was thick ice over all of the equipment and frost on the ground that made my feet wet.

My hands were wrecked from the cold metal and it sucked to get that first taste of the winter weather.

It is dropping down to 9C/50F tonight in Western Australia which is annoying because next week is supposed to be summer. According to the forecasts on the 9th it will get up to 90F/ 31 C. So I will have to get my winter blankets this week, then switch back to summer blankets next week. I don’t mind the cold too much but I hate extreme temperature changes because then you get caught out and either overheat or catch a cold.

Low 30, high 50 today/tonight in Houston. Mostly 40s-60s all week.

It’s comfortably cold weather IMO. Just put on a hoodie and you’re good to go. I do enjoy this time of the year for sure, but it comes and goes week to week, very bipolar, and only lasts overall like 2-4 months then it’s back to the boiling heat.

Nothing beats going hiking in the woods when it’s a cool, crisp 50-60 degrees. Perfect weather for most outdoors activities that don’t involve water or the beach lol.

It’s warm in Maryland still. I can’t stand cold weather, fall is ok. I’m moving to South Carolina or Florida within 5 years when I find the right land, at 53 I’m over the cold east coast.

It's chilly out in Northern Massachusetts right now, 38°F (3.3°C), but ideally it'll get colder in the weeks to come

I remember when I was in the 5th grade it was -21°F(-29.4°C) and they had to cancel school, the day before was still pretty cold (around -14°F/-25.5°C), so much so I touched an outdoor railing without gloves on and my skin stuck

I like the cold weather so much I nearly moved to Alaska when I graduated highschool, I need the cold to be comfortable

-8 °C this morning where I live. That's nothing though. We will see -35C in Jan/Feb with windchills it can reach -50C. I hate the cold but it does give a nice break from the heat in the summer and being outside all the time. Perfect for whiskey and video games in the nice warm house.

Google says it's 21F in St Paul at the moment. I haven't been outside but briefly at 7 AM, and I didn't really leave my car. It LOOKS warmer outside though.

I don't dislike cold weather. I've always had an overheating problem personally, which is why I still wear tank tops and camis and skirts in the winter months some days. What I DON'T like is ice on the roads. Screw that nonsense. People already in general are garbage behind the wheel, but then you add ice to the equation? Fuggetabouttit.

As long as it's no colder than -10C I will even go on outdoor runs if I feel like it.

It's when the temps drop any further that I don't like it. -30C with windchill is awful.

Around a week ago it snowed in the Toronto metro area. Decent sized one.

But it was a one dayer. It slowly melted away over the next few days and it's rained lately so now 100% gone. Today it's raining.

Crazy temperature swings and a handful of days before the snow day it was around 15-20 celcius one sunny day. Tshirt weather. Then boom, snow.

I'm in WA, our winters are kind of mild, but they do regularly get into the 30's in February, but that's about it. I adore the cold, and to be honest I kind of wanna move somewhere colder and....less crazy lol. Don't know where I'd go necessarily, but I really like smaller, quiet towns, and it has to be somewhere that stays cold for most of the year. Folks believe WA is cold for much of the year, but they're full of shit or they watch too many movies. Our summers are long, and it doesn't get cold long enough to kill off bugs here, so we end up having bugs for like ten months out of the year. I mean Goddammit man, the best fuckin part of the cold is no bugs, and it doesn't really happen here! I went on a hike once here when it was 36 degrees out, I was like this is just perfect man.....until there were fuckin gnats everywhere! It doesn't make any fuckin sense man it's like we're cursed!

.......I'm......I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. Allow me to compose myself.
*Ahem*

Winter is my favorite season mainly because of how much I despise bugs. I moved from TN to WA for the Army, hopeful that it was a less buggy area than TN. I've seen more gnats here than TN could have ever conceived of. In short, drop me somewhere where it's too cold for gnats, and I'll be a happy goddamn camper.

EDIT: Christ I realize I called winter a month instead of a season. Bless all of you for not saying anything about it and making me feel stupid, but I noticed it anyway lol. Fuck I'm stupid sometimes, (often.)

Getting down into the 30s here.

I absolutely hate the cold for one precise reason: It adversely affects my scrotum, not allowing my balls to hang freely.

During winter we get around 0° Celsius (32°F) here in southern Brazil.. worst case scenario is around -10° Celsius (14° F)... that's usually as cold as it gets.

The problem is that we don't have heating systems by default, so it gets very cold in interiors too.

We also never get snow. I'm 31 and I've never seen snow in real life, lol.

21F is the low tonight, currently snowing so it’s a bit warmer at the moment. We spent 4 years in Phoenix for my wife’s graduate program and work, after I saw 122F on my dashboard I vowed it was our last summer there, and it was. Fuck the heat, give me snow and mild summers

It's -2 right now here in Sweden. I hate it.

When I was small the snow and crap was fun, used to go skiing, winter fishing, and still have fond memories of that, but now, I hate it with a passion. It's dark, usually little to no snow, just wet now during the winters. Wet, sticky, mushy, crappy winters is what we get now.

I was so happy last christmas, we managed to celebrate it in the Bahamas, was awesome, felt like the chill went out of the bones, and you could see the SUN! We were also just about to actually move down south when the Covid struck, no idea when that will happen now, as the money slowly drains from the accounts.. :p I never wanted to celebrate another christmas in the cold, but I guess I'll have to..

I think the biggest thing is the sun missing from November to February though, you feel like a vampire when that spring sun finally comes.
