I like rap music quite a bit, but pound for pound Dirty South rap has always been my absolute favorite. I grew up in Houston during the peak of the Screwed Up Click and Fat Pat and absolutely adore the genre of music. I like all dirty south rap, including stuff from Atlanta, but I prefer Houston rap above all else. Both old and new.

Part of why I like it so much is because it has it's own slang that is pretty distinct from the rest of rap.

Some of my all time favorites:

Fat Pat: Too much lean in my cup

Pimp C, Trae, & Hawk: Swang (remix)

Lil' Troy: Wanna be a baller

Big Moe: Purple Stuff

Fat Pat: Tops Drop

Tops Drop is basically H-Town's anthem. Anybody else love dirty south rap?
