Was always kind of weird they called it that in the first place, but if you're changing the names of the ship because it says slave then I guess Anakin's mum, Princess Leia, and the millions of slaves in the Star Wars universe will be retconned into indentured servants or minimum-wage workers.

I miss 90's disney. So goddamn good they're still trying to milk it with live action remakes of dubious quality.
 
Let's just pretend that slaves haven't existed since the dawn of mankind. Someone needs to let the Israelites know they weren't slaves in Egypt, just extended houseguests.

Jets have a slave function/mode, so does lots of equipment.......I presumed it was always something like that, because slave as in a slave, didn't make any sense

It's because Boba Fett used to be a bad guy who became popular among edge lords and later got retconned for marketing purposes.
Some closet Nazi's still root for the Empire and all that shit.

It's the problem with Disney trying to keep Start Wars alive instead of creating something new. They will slowly have to rewrite the original trilogy, and yeah the Princess Leia scenes as a sex slave will be next.

They killed off "Slave" Leila years ago. Now it's Leia as Jabba's Prisoner.

Why are people upset by this as if Disney didn't already fuck up Star Wars over 5 years ago? Or hell, Boba's appearance in their Power Rangers-looking show.

It does for the 20 people in the world whose outlook on life will do a 180 based on a Star Wars space ship.

Their lives are a a total mess right now, but if they notice Boba Fetts oppressive ship is changed to something else, they will do so much better in life going forward.

You really hate those grifters, don't you? The thing is, without an audience, they wouldn't exist, it's obvious that Disney and the rest are just producing garbage and damaging their IPs, so that's an outlet they have.

Well to be fair slave companies weren't actually advertising their activity on the hull of their ships, historical ones were called "Antelope", "Esmeralda" or "Concord", not "Slaves'R Us".
Not that I find anything wrong with the way Boba Fett named his ship, and even if he could have found a fancier one there's no reason to change it now.
