Displacement-looks like a spiritual successor of Condemned

I was just thinking about the Condemned series the other day and how visceral it felt, this definitely feels like a modern take of that franchise! .
Funny enough, the opening of the trailer reminded me heavily of Bioshock as well.
Will definitely keep an eye on this one, thanks!

I'll be following this. Butcher's Creek is another that just dropped. Much smaller scale, one-man indie game. Short and simple, just a couple hours long. But it totally nails the grit and sweaty feeling that Condemned provokes. I was in a pretty weird place in life when Criminal Origins came out. I played it alone in a barely furnished apartment all night long with a significant amount of powdered stimulant. Never tried VR but I doubt it has anything on that gaming experience. I certainly don't recommend it to anyone not already abusing themselves, but man if you're already there, you could do a lot worse on a Tuesday night.

Looks great but also too good considering its from an unknown dev. Placing "real" in the trailer doesnt mean shit. What was special about Condemned was its AI, since it was using an improved version of FEAR. Dont think these ppl can match tha,t but wishlisted.

Hmm. this really does look like it could fill that void. I to this day miss the Monolith of old before they turned into what they were before they died. Some of my favorite games were the Fear games and Condemned games. There hasn't been anything that really has filled that void they left behind for me.

I don't see the amateur part in it , but sure whatever works for you lol
Sorry, the Oblivion ""Remaster"" put a really bad taste in my mouth, and I was bitter about it all morning. My response was way too dicky, and I feel I should apologize.

I would love to have another Condemned, or Condemned-alike. It would be more constructive to say this game's tone just doesn't resonate with me at all. It's not something I can appreciate, I guess.

No problemo man!

I think it looks amateurish and frankly embarrassing, myself, but to each their own.
most AAA games look amateurish anyway.

I don't think it looks bad, obviously doesn't look like it has a big budget, but I'm all for smaller devs eating up the AAA industry so they'll get their shit together and actually make good games again.

I absolutely love condemned 1 and i doubt this is gonna get close to what made condemned special but if we can't get cond3 because the studio closed, this is the best next option i guess.
