Dissidia Final Fantasy LE PSP Bundle for US

I like how they're sort of chronologically ordered with the exception of Cloud/Terra's row, though you could say that's simply a zig-zag :P

I like the box art, its not like its worse than the other previous bundle boxes.

...but why Advent Children? They're probably packaging left-over umds instead of printing new ones for Advent Children Complete :(

That's seriously lame.

I want to see how the back looks, though.

As good a pick up line as any other

So that's why they cleared out the Ratchet bundle at Wal-Mart for $149.99.
Yeah..
Wal-Mart cleared out because of a bundle that only Gamestop will carry... :p

Nice bundle..might get...depending on what E3 brings..PSP related.

The new PSP will be coming out after this and they will continue to support the PSP-3000 as it'll be the only model which still has a UMD drive, games will still be coming out on UMD and they'll still have to sell consoles that can support them.
Your to smart for this thread

I can't wait for more info on the english release. The bundle sounds like a good deal if you want Dissidia except....
A GameStop exclusive
Just an FYI for anyone who dosen't already know thinking about this bundle. Gamestop dosen't have a very good hardware return policy. They are selective on what they take back and only offer exchanges or store credit. The two times I've tried to return hardware to them I had to argue with the employee/manager as to why I wasn't happy with it before they accepted it. So get something like dead pixels or a slight hardware defect and your stuck with it.

Every other retailer gives me my cash back no questions asked.

Not trying to make a "OMG GAMESTOP SUX" post, I just want to inform those interested the risk you are taking.

While they're not certain until they see the UK version, the Square Enix UK guys believe this is just a regular PSP - no special markings. Which sucks.

Are you guys so desperate for some printing at the back of the psp? Does it make your dick bigger if there is? I don't understand you people.

I think it just kind of defeats the point of a "special edition" bundle if it has nothing to distinguish it from a normal PSP. It could be a special colour, special markings, print, whatever...

The nice thing about the Crisis Core design we got here in Europe is it had some printing on the back and it had your model number as it was a limited run, which made it stand out from other PSPs. This is just a regular PSP, a regular copy of Dissidia, and a regular copy of Advent Children (original cut) in one box, which isn't really a collectors piece since it can all be bought seperately.

It's less this:

and more this:

It's good news for FF fans who are yet to get a PSP, though. Would've been a much better bundle with Crisis Core instead of AC, though.

Why not a white PSP Sony?

I'm really sick of seeing these sliver PSP's being released.

The JP Dissidia PSP isn't really white per se - but rather it's a sparkly white color that's hard to capture in a photo.

But either way, it's still a better color than another silver PSP...

I know about the Star Wars PSP (which is the one I have), but I'm talking about the 3000 model. I would really like to see how the 3000 is, but I'm still waiting for a white model.

Wow, I never knew about that, but still better that sliver. Also, I still hate the NA packaging.

Until I see a shot of the back of the PSP and see some kind of artwork that warrants me getting this - I ain't getting it. I'm perfectly content with my JP one.

Then again, I play Dissidia on my 2000 because of CFW...

A couple things:

a) Has there been any shot of the back of the PSP yet, or is this confirmed to be just a regular PSP?

b) It seems in the past, they cheap the hell out and put the games in those lame cardboard envelopes. (Nintendo gets it right with their DS bundles.) Will this and/or the Rock Band bundle be in them?

Otherwise, I'm just jumping back into PSP with the core + the games on their own, if they're just lazy bundles.

They did that with the Ratchet and Clank bundle so I bet they'll do it with this one. Of course, that means I'm not buying.

That's actually a really nice bundle. If it was a PSP Go with that stuff already installed, I'd bite for $199.99.

Was wondering if Dissidia was going to be on PSN as well?

It should have been on the JP PSN in the first place (it was announced by S-E) !
But yeah, I think it'll be.
Maybe not at the same date as the UMD.

its one of those dumb marketing things. SONY releases a silver psp everyone who doesn't want black buys it... so SONY thinks" Hey everybody wants silver! .. make more!"

Has it been confirmed that this is just a normal silver 3000? No graphic on the back? I'd rather go for the Hannah Montana Lilac pack instead, so long as there is mo shitty artwork on the backs of these.

Question about this game in general is there a FF style story or is this just a fighting game of sorts?

There are cutscenes that serve as excuses for all the fighting. The plot is crap though.

If there was a graphic on the back, don't you think it'd be mentioned? I imagine it's just a normal silver PSP.

Not sure if this is really thread worthy, so I'm putting it here, and it's slightly related to the fact it's about Dissidia limited stuff:

DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY: WHO WILL YOU BUY FROM?

Thanks for the info! Easy decision, 10-song CD all the way. Beats the hell out of that stupid UMD case we got for Crisis Core.

This is going to also be released by Digital Distribution right?
I bet my life that Square-Tax makes this just as much as the retail purchase so might as well get the swag and the UMD and transfer the game to a memory stick.

I've already imported the Dissidia OST so I'd go for the slip case, it looks pretty sweet. I'd say it's a little classier than the standard box.

The slip covers look quite nice, while the music sampler is ultimately worthless.

How's the soundtrack? I like the covers but I would consider the soundtrack if it's any good, plus it's only a 10 track sampler.
From what I listened, it's okay. Though, they managed to screw up One Winged Angel somehow.

Aww, fuuuck. I kinda wanted to buy this digitally, but now I might have to go for a UMD purchase :x I really like the cover slip; I wonder if its just a reversable, or if its metallic or something. I'd love for there to be at least one UMD game that has a metallic case :lol

How could they when they simply used the orchestral version recorded ten years ago?

The soundtrack ranges from awesome to average. The two songs "Cosmos" and "Chaos" are quite impressive, and some remixes are great, but overall they really could have done better.

By metallic do you mean a steelbook, or just a shiny cover?
