DJMAX Technika tune (Vita) Features music from KARA.

So I was playing Jubeat on my friend's iPad the other day and I honestly don't understand why there hasn't been technika on the iPad yet. I mean, it would suck because I don't have an iPad, but it would be so good. Now if they do it it will just make the Vita version obsolete.

Yeah, I was at a Technika tournament over the weekend and there were a couple iPads there. I was pretty surprised at how many different rhythm games it already has. DJ Max Ray, Jubeat, Reflec Beat, and Tone Sphere. Adding Technika to that would make me seriously consider a purchase.

Pentavision has been saying Amazon will stock it, but it doesn't sound like it'll be done until around/after the release date.

Thanks for the info! Guess I'll give it a week or two after release for Amazon to get stock. Not like I don't have plenty to play in the mean time...

I imagine Technika Tune is only on PS Vita because Sony cut some sort of deal for platform exclusivity. Just a guess though.

There was actually an attempt at a Technika clone on iOS that was supposed to release at the end of August, but Pentavision Korea forced them to change the system because it was too similar. The Rhythmix guys just posted a video showing both the original Rhythmix and the new not-Technika Rhythmix.

Has anyone unlocked Supernova? i'm level 30 and still nothing :/

I did, around level 40 iirc (I´m level 50)

That looks surprisingly cool

Has anyone ordered anything from their website before? With the release being next Friday does anyone think they will already have this shipped before then?

I'm pretty sure this is the first time you had to order directly from their website, so I don't really know what to expect. Honestly I'm not getting my hopes up for it arriving on time knowing how Neowiz usually fucks shit up all the time lol.

Something to keep in mind though is that when DJMAX Portable 3 came out, I'm pretty sure I bought the limited editions through Bemanistyle.com, and that arrived in a timely manner.

I hope we can get release date delivery. They have pics on facebook of their cargo being shipped in already.

penbavisi0n pls

Pretty sure Pentavision Global (the ones handling this release) is the old Bemanistyle team.

So... this has been delayed by "hopefully only 1-2 weeks".

I realize it is a niche product but the handling by Pentavision in the US hasn't been all that great D:

Shit. I'd forgotten this was coming out this week, so I was really excited to see this bumped up. Hopefully they get the games soon. :(

From the post on their Facebook page the delay appears out of their control; Sony is the one responsible for manufacturing the game card and packaging. Full post:

Many of you have been asking when TECHNIKA TUNE would be shipping out to everyone. We've been quiet on the exact date because of some things we were worried could happen when moving the title into production. Unfortunately one of our fears regarding the title has come upon us and we're now faced with a slight delay for the title. As it stands we still don't have the games themselves on hand (which is not something we can control) and it's looking as though we will see around a 1 to 2 week delay on the release now in light of recent events.

We know this is frustrating for all of you to hear, we're really disappointed about it here at the offices ourselves and we wish we could do something to move things along faster. Unfortunately as a result of the issues at hand, we also don't have an exact date as to when we'll receive the title yet either. All we can do at this point is wait, and we'll begin shipping all orders the day that the games arrive at our warehouse to all buyers. This impacts availability in all channels, no retailers will have the game until we have received it from Sony.

If any of you can't bear the wait and are upset about this to the point of wanting to cancel your order, we'll be happy to oblige you. Just send an e-mail to play@pentavisioninc.com and we will process your refund within one business day (usually less). We sincerely apologize for this, we're anticipating the game just as much as many of you are, and it's really hard for us to have to deliver such disappointing news to everyone. We hope the matter will be resolved as soon as possible so we can get the game out to everyone who has been waiting to play!

Oh well. I was expecting something like this to happen, so I'm not devastated. But seriously, when it gets to the point where people expect you to fuck up, you know you aren't doing something right.

Considering they had everything for the limited edition (besides the game itself) on hand and ready to go well before they needed it to be, I'm inclined to believe them when they say there was a delay beyond their control. They've been pretty transparent about the state of things also, to a crowd that just makes increasingly unreasonable demands of them (seriously, I'd be ashamed to know half the people posting on their Facebook) - we knew at the time they posted the photos to the limited editions that the games themselves had not arrived yet.

The delay also affecting the digital release, something purely under Sony's control, also kinda says something...

What could delay it? They already have some of the shipment in their warehouse. :( :( :( :(

edit: So these are empty cartons? And no actual cartridges?

I guess it's back to Hatsune Miku for a while...which is good because I haven't done everything I've wanted to yet and I'm worried that once I get Tune I'll never touch it again.

Boxes contain everything except the game. So they have the artbooks, CDs, etc. on hand and are just waiting for the game itself to arrive to put it all together and ship out.

Thank you, delay, for making me not spend $100 (for the oct. $20 promotion) on stuff that I would probably regret later. I'll just save it to buy this alongside Persona 4 Golden in November.

Dammit, I was going to buy NFS: Most Wanted Vita and Retro City Rampage too, now I won't.

Noooo :( Man, I was getting more and more excited for this game as the release date drew closer so this is a major bummer.

For those still interested, they just announced on their Facebook that the small number of LEs freed up by cancellations thus far will be made available for sale on Monday, 10/29, at 12 noon PDT (3 PM EDT).

Just got this email regarding Technika Tune's delay:

Earlier in the week we made an announcement on our official facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/djmaxofficial/) regarding DJMAX TECHNIKA TUNE being delayed in the US. Part of the circumstance behind this delay has to do with a patch that was released for the Japanese and Korean versions of the game last week to fix some sensitivity issues with the front and rear touch panels on the PS Vita within our code. We were urged to include this in our final code (as it had been available before the title went to press) and it has delayed our release.

We know this is frustrating for all of you to hear, but the submission process for a game is not always an easy one, and unfortunately we've fallen into one of those situations where minor issues can cause significant hold-ups. We currently don't have an exact date as to when we'll receive the title yet. We should have a new date for the title soon, but in the meantime we can assure you that as a result of the delay we will begin shipping the title on the same day they arrive to our warehouse. Everyone will receive tracking information as your packages ship out.

In addition, we're currently running a contest on our official website (http://www.technikatune.com/contest.php). We've extended this contest to November 9th as a result of the delay, and every week we will be giving one person drawn at random a free copy of DJMAX TECHNIKA TUNE for PlayStation Vita! Other prizes include a PS Vita Console with a copy of the game, autographed posters, Limited Edition Packages, and DJMAX TECHNIKA 2 Arcade soundtracks! Entry is free and open to everyone!

We appreciate all of your support and patience regarding the release and really hope you'll be pleased with the final product once it arrives, we're definitely very proud of it and can't wait to get it out there for everyone to play!

If the issue had been inclusion of the patch I'm not sure why they didn't just outright say that in the first place rather than only send it in an email broadcast...

Why don't they just patch the game after release?!?!?!

This. From their original delay announcement I honestly felt like they were trying to place blame on Sony, but now I'm not sure exactly what the case is.

At any rate, as I mentioned on twitter, I don't see what the big deal with this patch is as I haven't even updated yet and I have had zero issues with sensitivity or the game.

So people have a better experience from the moment they open the box and start the game?

I understand this pov, but is it really worth a potential one month+ delay just to not have a pop-up about a five second patch on first launch? (And those who aren't on wifi probably won't notice anything is wrong anyway?)

My gut feeling is that the patch was going to cost Pentavision US some extra dough, so instead of dishing out for that, they are hosing the end customer with the delay. Could be wrong.

Did not even realise there was a patch been playing the game with absolutely no problems without it.

edit: Do I have to be connected to a jp psn to get the patch? Does not seem to come up for me on my Au PSN.

I can't remember any games in recent memory where they delayed game releases for patches. If anything there's a patch right when logging in or whatever.

Well we don't know how the patch affects the game. But I am okay with downloading a patch right away than getting a month delay...

Nope, i was able to download it on my vita with a UK psn account

Yep, the game worked just fine, and nope, regular EU account here, and the update appears.

This sucks. I didn't see the announcement on their Facebook and only yesterday realized it was supposed to come out this week. Then a couple hours later I get the email. Mega bummer.

Unless you're planning on buying it used, it won't be on Amazon. You can only buy it from Pentavision's store or from PSN.
They said it'll be available from other retailers later on, but it'll be after the release date. I mean, it remains to be seen if that'll actually be the case, but hey.

Well, this and P4G are my main reasons to get a Vita, so I guess I have some time yet. And I'm still waiting for this to show up on actual retailer channels.
