I used to wear a fedora. It was the only hat that I ever enjoyed wearing. I liked it a lot. I'd still wear it if it didn't mean that people would pigeonhole me as a "m'lady"-ing nice guy piece of shit, but, well, them's the breaks I guess.

I used to wear a Trilby, had one for about 2-3 years. Never had anyone complain about it and I would actually get compliments on it too. Always found that interesting given the amount of hate they seemed to generate over the Internet. I mainly wore it because I just didn't want to have to bother with messing with my hair.

However, I did lose it one day about three years ago and could never find another one I liked. Just took that as a sign that it was time to move on.

Curious though, do people here instantly judge people on the fact they wear a hat?
