Sadly no, all later ports/re-releases.

GoG has made playing the OG RE games (1 through 3) a lot easier and affordable recently too, they put them out for $9.99 a piece last year.

it's pretty much all I play. I have gotten in to a rhythm now where I am always playing games that are are 5-10 years old. I let all the new games come out broken, wait till they get all patched up, all DLC released and then buy the complete editions for like $20.

Got a FPGA Mister and using the old classic systems since they were released. I play those more than Switch and Xbox last few years.

I bought a retroid pocket 4 to load old games onto it from GBA to PS2 and have not touched it once. Like that its their as an option but way too many good modern games out there to go back replay an older gen one.

I love old games and I'm very attached to them even if I don't spend a huge amount of time playing them anymore. I still launch them regularly just for a quick fix or palate cleanser.

But one of their strengths was their non-committal nature. I can beat the first level of an old game in less time than new loading and splash screens. Firing up an old game isn't really a "decision".

Huge factor for me as well in playing many old games.

Yeah, I have like 4 pcs, 1 modern and 3 others that cover 2000s and older. I could get a lot of them working with dosbox and dgvoodoo, but I really like the nostalgia. Pretty rare that I play anything from the 80s or older though. 95-2005 has a certain magic though, especially on pc.

I'm always playing retro games along with modern ones. I recently played through Ys 1 via Ys 1 & 2 Chronicles on PSP.

I'm currently playing my way through Crime Crackers which is still a great game to this day even though I can't read Japanese.

I keep most of my old systems ready to go also, I find it completely removes the friction when the desire to play one of those games comes up. Can just grab it, pop it in, and be playing.

Sure, I love all the generation of games. I'd prefer to play classics I never got to experience. As much as I love 007, Waverace, Crash Bandicoot, Contra, and etc. I'd rather visit classics that I never got to fully enjoy or explore consoles I never owned. There's times when I don't want to play something new because the developer decided to make a Remastered version of an old game. GOG is great, but lately I haven't really bothered downloading anything. I wish GOG had its own handheld. I had a bad experience with Hero Launcher.

I mostly buy digital. I'm pretty happy with all these classic collections. I owned CvS2 a long time ago, but I can't tell you why I sold it. I'm glad to have all these classic fighters and RPGs available. I don't know if I want to rebuy the stuff I used to own unless it doesn't come out remastered. I keep my Vita and some retro consoles around because as a gamer, you'll find stuff that never gets attention. With games being $70-$80. If I buy two games that's as much as some retro games go for. That's why I'm happy we get Castlevania and RPG collections. I'd prefer owning a solid digital library, even if they're just licenses. Once I'm gone from this world, no one will exactly take care of my stuff. They'd probably sell it to someone else.

Just recently I finished Suikoden 1, Onimusha 2, and some other older titles. That was fun to me. Now I wait for Death Stranding 2.

Strangely enough i seem to be getting more enjoyment from PS1/SNES games lately. Not sure if it's me being sick of modern gaming or if modern games are getting worse. I just feel like every game design decision these days was decided in a board room instead of by actual gamers. You can definitely see a major difference in game quality, story telling, etc. from that era.

Have the NES and SNES classics. Love the classics. My N64 is kind of finicky these days so I have the Analogue 64 on order too.

Yes, pretty often, but usually only until ps2 era, before that it gets a bit complicated, especially since I'm not too much into 2D games.
I play stuff like Tony Hawk and SSX all the time from the ps2 era, either emulated or pc modded versions.

The majority of the games I play are retro. I get into different eras in waves. Most recently I've been going through a psx phase. Just beat Suikoden 2 and working on Dino Crisis 2 at the moment. Every generation is fair game but NES through ps2 is most of what I play when it comes to retro. Fan translations have really expanded libraries for me and there's a lot of cool, weird stuff to check out.

I like exploring old, obscure pc games, too.

I still game modern, but for whatever reason most don't hold my interest like they used to.

Brehs. I started Super Metroid on Retroarch with some great shaders today and shit turned into a full gaming fest. Played for hours. It looks great and man is this game still fantastic. I gladly forgot basically everything by now.

I regularly replay old games from whatever era, ok I probably draw the line at text based games and don't revisit them anymore. However between backwards compatibility, emulation and mini-consoles there's been such a revival of older games. That's a good thing too, great gameplay is the most valuable part of gaming.

My next purchase will be a mini-Amiga or one of those retro emulation handhelds that does everything in your pocket.

I'm still playing Commodore 64 stuff. Admittedly not as often as I play Amiga stuff.

Not long sold an Amiga 1200 mind you. Cannot find a decent CRT so it had to go. Just the A500s left now.

A man with taste. C64 games take on a new meaning with modern advances either hardware or emulation. Shorter load times improves everything. I can't tell you how often I boot up Wings from Cinemaware or Turican 2

Just this year I caught up on a bunch of awesome older games that I missed at the time like Ace Combat 6, Stranglehold, and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
