Do you think the Power Glove will be resurrected?

Well, not the NES Power Glove exactly, but something a lot more sleek and wireless of course. In my opinion, the Power Glove wasn't a bad idea, but it was instead way ahead of it's time. If it had been wireless, cost efficient, and actual 3D games existed back then like they do now, I think it would have probably caught on.

Seriously though, they have re-created this using those crappy games you connect straight for the TV that you see at the mall sometimes. Before Christmas I saw several commercials for a Batman game where you use a glove to punch...and kick :lol

Power glove sucked plain and simple, I don't care if it was reborn it would still suck. It's too awkward, and it's integration into 99% games would be horrid.

Just wait for the rev controller, it's the same damn crappy concept just in a different form.

PS: Same goes for the activator.

Can someone explain what the concept was on the Power Glove? I've never actually seen one, we just had that NES Advantage stick...

It LOOKS like you just wear the controller, does it responde to finger movements though?

You'd wear it on your hand.

It had some sensors you also place around the frame of your tv. It came with a ton of presets for games, which really didn't matter cause whatever preset you picked sucked ass. Before you played the game you'd have to enter some code that came with the Power Glove book into the glove so it would tailor the input from the glove for that game.

The main ways of controlling seemed to be:

1. The pad on the glove.
2. Moving indivdual fingers. Like moving your thumb down for b, move your pointer finger down for a. Pretty stupid. Really made you feel like a retard.
3. Moving the actually glove in relation with the tv. This didn't fucking work well at all. THe sensors blew goats.

Yea, finger movements and slight changes in pitch and yaw.

In heaven, the Power Glove, 64DD, and Virtual Boy party like nobody's business.

I was thinking aboot this recently, actually. I figure someone like Interact will eventually make a new Power Glove accessory for the Revolution. Hell, I figure this idea is so obvious that one might make it out for launch. I'd dig playing a Revolution game with a Power Glove on my right hand and a Revmote in the left. Nice kinda VR interface, there.
