It finally happened.

As a comic nerd, I was actually pretty familiar with everything they've done. Iron Man, Jessica Jones, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, Daredevil, etc....

... And Doctor Strange is the one character I never actually read much about. I vaguely know his origins and that's pretty much it.

... It's exciting to go into this film almost blind. I have no expectations for the character, but it looks like a treat.

Awesome pics! Dr Strange was always my under-the-radar comic book film for next year. I hope they go full on existential zaniness with this property. I want Starlin levels of cosmic madness.

Also, can Fox please just let Marvel do justice with Dr. Doom? I'd give anything to have a properly represented Dr. Doom cameo in this movie.

That is Claire Temple in Daredevil, not Night Nurse. They were going to use Night Nurse, but Feige said the character was already earmarked for a future film (as it turns out, it's this one), so they took Claire Temple and basically made her into a different version of Night Nurse.

I've been very wait and see on this one since it was announced. Strange can be so cool when you push the artistic envelope, but up until now I though Marvel would play it too safe for Doctor Strange to be interesting.

Doctor Strange scales psychedelic dreamscapes to fight lovecraftian great old ones. To make him interesting you have to go really, really fucking weird. I'm still not convinced they'll quite hit the mark, but some of these images give me more confidence they'll get closer to it than I was worried they'd get.

I think it looks great, the costume is pretty much straight from the comics. They somehow made the collar not look completely ridiculous, which is quite an accomplishment.

This is easily the one MCU film I'm genuinely looking forward to, I think it's because I've been waiting for proper magic to enter the MCU for a while. They scratched the surface with Scarlet Witch, but it looks like they'll be taking it to a whole new level here. I'm really hoping they push the psychedelic aspects of the character.

Visually it looks fucking amazing. I am not familiar with the character or story at all, so I'll be going in blind and expecting to be pleasantly surprised as I have been with pretty much anything Cumberbatch has been involved with.

I doubt we'd hear anyone be named the "Night Nurse" but anyone who had the title in the comics is fair game to be used somewhere.
