Like most memes GAF (ab)uses, it's only funny the first few times.

I think that's the problem. GAF finds something that is actually funny and then proceeds to make an official thread about it. We've essentially become a meme graveyard. :lol

I never found FHUTA all that hilarious, but yeah, it's a case of too many people wanting to be the funny guy.

In ancient GAF lore, High resolution Nicole Bass pictures were used to bomb stupid threads into oblivion, or just to be annoying.

It was funny, then I think some mod or something got in trouble for having a giant sized picture of Nicole Bass on his screen, and after that, Nicole was banned.

I think it's more a veiled plea to the mods to try and make the stuff bannable. I thought for sure that posting "FHUTA" only in your reply was ban worthy at one point, but apparently it's not in that FAQ.

There's an ignore button. You use it to get rid of those who you find intolerable. Believe you me, I used to think it was silly too. But now I use my own discretion instead of whining to the mods.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but when a thread that was clearly going to end badly was posted (think EDGE giving Uncharted 2 a 6), people would post "posting in a legendary thread!"

It was extremely funny when Amir0x first used it (in that Super Paper Mario thread IIRC), but everyone after that just seemed like they were being unoriginal copycats.
