It was never funny. Although the basketball.gif of the phrase made me smile once.

These days it is more of a tradition. People don't laugh at it but if it isn't in a girl thread after the first 30-40 posts, people will start wondering why it isn't posted.

Few memes are actually funny and if they are, they typically work in very few instances. The plane picture was funny for that one post. The Wolverine was funny for that one thread and even then, only for just a small handful of the Photoshops. The more it gets posted, the less people understand its context, and the more people use it for inappropriate instances.

Although I am often entertained by people who think a lot of these memes start on GAF. They don't get started here; they just stagnate here.
